Funny that. Considering that since I am not able to have children, I was planning on doing this anyways. Why do "Pro-Life" Republicans seem to uniformly support the death penalty? Why do they never propose the increases in social spending necessary to support and educate children? Seems they stop caring about the "child" as soon as it's out of the womb.

Your comments are clearly brought on by sorrow, or hate or whatever (except the part about babies thumbs and kicking that was genuine), but it isnt as simple as you say it is, yes the fetus is alive, and yes its killed during the abortion, but its not a clear case of murderers and saviours this entire debate is nothing but a blurred line. But what is important is that Pro-Choice, means you have the right and liberty to choose, while Pro-life is simply means you dont have the liberty to choose.

I agree that just because abortion doesn't appear in the Bible doesn't mean the Bible doesn't condemn it. The Bible does not condemn slavery even once, for example, but merely regulates it. This was used as an argument Southerners against abolitionists in the North to say that the Bible condones slavery, so it's okay to do. The problem with this is that what the Bible condones or condemns doesn't matter in the least if it is irrational.

That's your reason? Abortion isn't illegal because the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional to deny women the right to have abortions because it violates their rights over their bodies. I could be wrong since I know almost nothing about the case, but the Roe v. Wade case has nothing to do with if abortion should be allowed or not.

The "choicers" only argue that the Bible doesn't talk about abortion because the "lifers" say that because it says killing isn't allowed in the 10 commandments, women can't have abortions. I think you'll be hard pressed to find a religious fundamentalist who isn't against abortion.
