Oh my dear friend, so hard seeing you and not being able to give you a hug. Much love to you and Julie, and family. Also, it's brilliant that you testified, that your voice was heard, and that you created positive change. Wonderfully said, '...representing is more important to me than presenting, right now.' Sorry it took me a while to comment, but for some reason I couldn't get this video to load yesterday. Speak soon my friend, xo
i have to say i love this channle you all are the shit. muchluv coming frommyway...... 2012 is the time for change... i amsoglad you are all here. thankyou very much....peace
Second, I agree with you on the pronoun thing, I have been handling it about the same way. I also don't try to change the past and just uses the correct pronoun for how I was then. I don't see why I would care, thats how it was. I too am just trying to be me, and not worry about voice and pronouns. Yes I still put effert into being who I wont to be. And this trans stuff is importent to me, But I have to go on being a person first and formost.
@meottome I think that's brilliant, and I'm glad to hear that you are able to feel that it's important, but not all-encompassing. I agree with that sentiment.
Thank you for sharing Sama. I love your from the heart videos. This one really helped me feel at peace. You are a beautiful human being just the way you are.
I love your perspective on pronouns, and your patience with yourself as well as other people and their processes.
i nearly lost my shit laughing when you imitated diana. oh diana i love you <3 also, great video Sama : ) "i have hair on my legs and the world continues to spin." I found that beautiful. As a feminist, I don't feel too much pressure to shave my legs or armpit hair. I'm glad you talked about pronouns for yourself because i noticed some people playing with them when referring to you in earlier videos, i myself haven't been laying too much importance in them because of the reason you described.
@PaperStory i'm thinking of even tattooing that on my body i liked that quote from you so much. haha. It seems so simple, yet it means so much. it's kind of a feminist trope but i found it really powerful. we'll see. If I so it will be in "quotes" and i'll credit the Samazing Sama.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I think it is fantastic that you testified, the world needs to hear voices like yours.
