Que chulada. Me vale lo que dicen de la version de ahora, esta version simpre sera la mejor. Que le paso a "Echenme la Tierra Encima"? Me encanta cuando gritan "Yo siemre te he de querer, en esta tierra y en al cielo."
Tranchula..your story sounds just like what I would write. I get so sentimental when I hear this. I lived with my grandparents and they would always play this version. I grew up Mex-American and loved music. I went to work in the music biz in LA with many record companies. But this song always touches my heart. My grandfather gone for 3yrs now. I would always request this song at Olvera Street. In fact baptized at that church there. Now I live on the east coast. Oh the music. Thx for posting
My,my.... My spanish isn't very good when it comes to writing, so I will write in english! This is one song I remember from my childhood. My parents would play this LP every weekend, especially when we had company. Years later, when I would go to Olvera St. with friends, I would have a conjunto play this for me. After a few drinks, buzzed and all, I would call my Mom and cry on the phone and tell her that I love her! My Dad is gone now, but I still have my Mom. Gracia A Dios! Thanks for posting!
@tiranchula ...Check out what I wrote above. This is by far my favorite version. I use to hang with Los Lobos. I requested they play Crei' right at that center stage @ Olvera Street and they did. Great verison they did. I have so fond memories of this song. Buene Suerte!
