The drivers that went from F1 to NASCAR were American (South America, too) drivers that couldn't get a hold of driving at that level or were dissatisfied with their team, which was the case with JPM.

NASCAR is as much bullshit as F1 has become. Nascar is run by all the super teams that have formed. They all race the same damn car with different badges on them, and the "sportsmanship" restrictions have ruined the spirit of it. The year when they dropped factory bodies and chassis was the year NASCAR died imho.

If you want real racing, watch Pro Touring Car, or Le Mans.

Nascar : A bunch of road looking cars with nothing special that travel so slow with 20 sec pit stops almost every 45 laps and a bunch of thugs and hillbillys for drivers who just crash to win

Nascar is only watched for crashes and only america watchs it

f1 is watched worldwide and takes place WORLDWIDE

F1 racing is a joke. Thats why F1 drivers are coming to Nascar. Hell the only reason we've even been hearing about F1 is because a WOMAN is one of the best drivers in it. Although I prefer NASCAR either, I don't think that F1 is a joke. Both, NASCAR and F1, have amazing drivers with amazing skills and neither you nor I would be able to handle those cars. They are both the elite of race drivers, just in different competitions.
