@311fan312 I get 45 in my 06 Civic. It's all in how you drive it. On VW's website, they have a section devoted to milage wars to promote the TDIs. Some people claim crazy numbers in the 80's and 90's.

Trust me I was a part of the test pahse of these new diesel engines, hey are well worth it, no problems with them ever. But a deisel jetta or a golf, you will not regret it. as for the realiablity of the DSG transmissions, they have gotten better and are fault free. as soon as I can Im gettin ga jetta TDI wagon. I cant wait.

love the VW styling but reliabilty is a different story...had a used vw gti and it was showing signs of problems after a year.

I wonder if the motors are still being made in Mexico. VW had a bunch of sub-standard engines a couple of years ago, wonder it cheap labor had anything to do with it.
