  • "The Brassicas: A botanical family so tightly knit, genetically speaking, that you'd expect at least one of them to be playing a banjo..."

  • this guy's a gem!

  • I have never seen fresh brussel sprouts in any grocery store.

  • I love ABs constant hate of Jefferson to be hilarious

  • I there a food he hasn't covered?

  • 4:55

Does that sprout have a frowning face on it?

  • Kick Jefferson's ass, AB!

  • 1:58 You know, as a southerner, I want to take offense in that...but yeah...

  • Belgium- home of the chip, or french fry if you are American. You have to give it respect for that.

  • Hey I'm from Brussels! We don't have funny accents >_<

  • when he yells brussel sprouts at 1:15 ... is that a reference to something?

  • I like brussel sprouts.

And I like banjos! What the hell, Alton!!

  • That Belgian cuisine must be good!

  • Playing a banjo? Is that a redneck inbreeding reference? I resent that remark, lol.

  • I gave these a try last night the way some friends of mine made them, and despite they were all right at first, I now see why Alton said "mass quantities". He meant that they have to be consumed quickly, because they turn a little sour over time. They are good to me after trying them, but I see why he meant "mass quantities" now. Hopefully, I'll get to try the other recipes from this episode. Alton definitely knows what he's talking about

  • i love how when he's in the mega-mart, the good eats theme is playing on the overhead speakers.

  • Why is the idea of hitting an early president with a bag of frozen brussel sprouts so darn funny? I am still laughing.

  • I kinda like brussel sprouts, the thing is most asians can cook them better than americans because they cook them like AB said 'fast with as little water as possible'.

  • Check that Banjo Joke at 2:01

    Loved that one!

  • I like Brussels sprouts. When I was a kid, I would eat my sibling's sprouts. I've always thought them to be tasty. Especially with cheese and butter.
