@andersonquinn23 To simulate a real crash. Usually, you do have things in the back, but in laboratory crash test, the trunk is empty. Just take a look at the Omega's trunk. The water battles crashed into the seats very hardly, they broke them.

Impolite means that the test is made as close as the real thing. Often tests are made in laboratroy conditions, and the crashes are like advertisment of the newer model. The reality is sadly very different, yes newer cars behave slightly better in an event of a real crash, but all improvements are made mainly to look good in the laboratory tests. Let's hope that the "impolite" tests will become widespread, and cars will be designed to handle real crashes, and not just to have 5 stars of bullshit
