  • being that there was no blood coming up at all. im going to assume that the pilot drowns. so... it didnt get him. =)

  • They should have used the extended sequence. It would have been one of the scariest sequences in the film. Even better, they could have placed a character the audience cared about, like Hendricks, in the helicopter to ramp up the drama.

  • Good God, how did this NOT kill the shark?!!

  • 0:38-0:40

"Outta my way punk ass Jellyfish!!!"

  • Couldn't the pilot just go full throttle and take off with the shark on it O.o

  • As if flying isn't dangerous enough...

  • The book had more deaths in it than the movie did...in the book the shark destroyed a much bigger helicopter by yanking on the sonar ball in the water...then ate the copilot later on...the book for Jaws 2 is actually pretty good..especially the parts that are shown from the shark's perspective..

  • Oh, couldn't you bring an S-64? I mean, the S-64 can carry two hueys... oh by the way, what helicopter is this?

  • @halowraith1 Schweizer 300 with floats

  • Surely when Jaws pulled the helicopter towards him the blades would of gone straight through the water and cut jaws up, cuz the helicopter was at full speed because it was taking off

  • This bubble of monkeys sp**k of a movie should have never been made! You cant beat Jaws1 all the rest of the films were shite in comparison!

  • how did the helicopter blades NOT chop the shark in half after it rolled over underwater??

  • @TheMrsuperman2000: Robert Shaw was really dead when Jaws 2 was made.

  • The first time I saw this scene, I was about 11 years old and it didn't have the "shark music warning". Scared me so bad, I jumped about 2 feet off the couch and landed on my older sister who was laughing at me...looking back on it it was funny! =)

  • Another reason not to enlist in the Coast Guard lol

  • hate to be him rite now

  • pls could u put after this were sean gets saved by marge then she is eaten by the shark then the others r trying to get sean back on there boat, who is pallazed with fear!

  • IMO, not only should they have kept this sequence in the film as it appears here, they should have extended it even further, showing the shark finally reaching the pilot's leg and pulling him out. With the pilot unable to breathe and trapped by the shark, this is the most tension-filled scene in the film. It also makes a nice contrast with the Hooper/shark cage sequence in the first movie. Even showing the pilot struggling to open the other door behind him would have been a nice touch.

  • yeah ok! the blades would have ripped the shark apart as he pulled it down

  • Wow, I never knew this even existed. I always wondered what happened to the pilot (although, still not sure). Thanks for this.

  • doesnt look like the same guy. The guy flying the helicopter had a beard, the guy under water is clean shaven.

  • @Jamie10004 yea

  • Wait...shouldn't the helicopter blades have sliced the shark? It was at or near the surface!

  • I thought TBS was very funny??

  • It's not a shark.....it's Chuck Norris' Goldfish.

  • Son of a bitch...this shark is ten *times* the badass that the first one was, so much so it *defies description*-- it sinks a frakking helicopter, as seen here; it attacks a waterskier and speedboat and gets BLOWN UP for its trouble, yet survives only with a scarred face; manages to cause the equivalent of a waterborne pile-up; and finally is ONLY stopped by being tricked into biting an underwater power cable and getting flash-fried.

  • @DorianMichaelsIII the first sharks skull never caved in when brushing up against a boat. the first shark was the best.

how about the fourth??? the mofo swam from amity to the bahamas.

  • BRUCE II is a bad mofo

  • la scene sous l'eau, je l'ai jamais vu dans la version francaise!!!!!

  • Jaws 2 would of been better if richard dreyfus was in it and no teenagers...what do you think???

  • @TheMrsuperman2000 And if Robert Shaw was in it...

  • @TheMrsuperman2000 Too bad he was busy fleeing America.

  • When they wrote the script for Jaws 2, and decided to make it attack a group of annoying teens, they really killed the franchise.

Anyway Jaws 3 and The Revenge, makes Jaws 2 look like a good movie.

Rumors say that the original script for Jaws 2 was far more dark and elaborate. That would have been way more memorable.

  • This is on the DVD release under special features along with when the town votes to fire Brody, another scene of when Brody came home after finding the dead boat driver, and Brody giving Len Peterson a ticket

  • 00:38 - Is that a jellyfish?

  • that scene scared the crap out of me, for some odd reason.

  • I'm watching this scene right now except they just cut the whole underwater part.

  • why didn't the shark eat tht chic who was screaming the loudest of them all? she was responsible to get all of them stuck in between, she should have got her prize as a fine meal to the shark.

  • Lost Scene?

  • what a shame - ca´t he use the helicopter as a sub marine ???? :-D

  • i have a VHS of JAWS 2 with that scene on it

  • @shadymages yeah, they didn't have the real actor loop screams for this sequence because it was deleted. when they wanted to use it for the tv version, they sampled the first film to fill-in the empty audio gap. :P

  • @Britney14061 argh yes it is the sound from the original jaws wen bruce is attacking the cage

  • @Britney14061

    0:46

is that the same sound hooper does when he is i the cage? and the shark hits it

    or am i deaf? :)

  • When the pilot first screams underwater after the shark attacks, it sounds like EXACTLY the same sound bit used when Hooper is attacked in the cage in the first film.

  • When there screaming... they sounded like monkeys...

  • This is in a deleted scene... Look he loses his all his face hair! LOL I guess that's why it was cut, you could see the stuntmsn

  • As any experienced zoologists knows the carcharodon carcharias does, in fact, frequently, attack helicopters or other flying, mechanized modes of human transport. These attacks are not widely reported because when they do happen (2001 estimates state approx. 2-3 people per year are killed) they typically occur at least several miles from land and away from the presence of cameras.

  • this wouldnt usually happen as sharks h8 the taste of human but its still fun 2 watch :)

  • If I remember correctly from seeing it at the drive-in when I was about 7, there is also a scene missing of Tina and her boyfriend making out inside the lighthouse.

  • I knew I did not imagine this scene. I saw this years ago when I was a kid.

  • I knew I did not I

  • I have this on Demand an this scene was not in it but it's understandable as to why... it makes the viewer wonder more if the guy was killed or drowned. It shows the shark trying to get in but no blood an no evidence as to this guys death.

Without the scene you just assume you guy dies an leave it at that.... I wish i could find the scene where the shark swallows the chick that saves sean whole an you see her face as he swallows her ive never seen it. Sounds sick as shit.

  • awesome scene

  • pwned

  • This scene was in the movie and USA played this version in the 80's on cable, its also on the dvd as an outtake.

  • 0:19 why the hell do i laugh like a crazy person at the helicopter blades flying everywhere. i just find it funny LOL

  • Let me see if I got this right...Rickety little boats are no match for this shark, but it will attack a helicopter without thinking twice? The only greater flaw in this movie is that it ever got made at all...

  • 0:41 hooper screams

  • @Volleyballgirl98 yes, it was but they didn´t think there would be such Jaws fans to realize it, lol.

I had already seen that footage, almost 20 years ago in a TV cut.

  • @Volleyballgirl98 the sound department used the original hooper scream cos it was cost effective.

hate to say this but the scoring on this scene is terrible...and i'm the greatest williams fan.

    Check my Jaws tribute video...

  • Does anyone know why this scene was cut from the film?

  • so... does he die?

  • this movie was good until this scene it makes absolutly no sense at all

  • And now a thought from HitchHikers guide to the galaxy.

    Maximum improbability dive.

  • This scene should have been in the movie.

  • This scene is embarassing.

  • I guess the pilot either got swallowed whole or drowned.

  • U would think the shark would be cut be he was close to the surface and the blades would of got him before breaking

  • how the fuck didnt he see the sharkat 0:04.retard.

  • fantastic scene, so horrible

    5*

  • Y not just take bruce for this movie ?

  • You know I don't think Jerry died becasue wouldn't there be blood bubbling out of the water?

  • man thanks though you didnt actully see how he died which is not your fault that was great i was wondering wat happend

  • WOW that is one strong turd of a shark!

  • How come or Why was this scene "cut"/"edited out"/"deleted" (take your pick) from my re-mastered VHS version of Jaws 2?

  • hmm... well from what i see the shark cant quite get to him, so im going with the pilot drowns.

  • damn that scene is great filmed, the scene when the shark is swims towards the helicopter under the water is brilliant

  • so did the pilot survive or what? lol there was no blood

  • @foodbug I'm pretty sure the shark got him, it probably just went deeper when it ate him so no blood came up

  • @MrBlackhawk2010 haha i guess that works lol

  • The shark in JAWS 2 is by far the least realistic looking version of Bruce.

  • Thanks, been meaning to see this scene for a while.

Now, if someone would just upload a (CLEAR) version of Chrissie's attack (the opening scene), that'd be awesome!

  • its because the blades are spinning so fast that contact with anything will cause them to shatter

  • We're gonna need a bigger helicopter.

  • @jealouspawn Good one! :)

  • @jealouspawn that's actually one of the lines in Bruno Mattei's "Cruel Jaws"

  • Love how this pilot does not see that GIGANTIC shark at 0:03!!!

  • pilot: ok just gotta position this righ-ZOMFG!!! ahhaahanxasnhfcdahd

  • This movie was on tv tonight but this FULL scene was in it.

  • @FilmNMusicBuff77 Sorry for the late reply. I think it was on Film4 or something.

  • What a horrible way to die....

  • why wasn't this extended scene featured in the movie in the first place?

  • @gregorkrause they were trying to keep the rating down. another kill that was penned in never got filmed because of ratings

  • yeah as was the case in the never shown kintner sequence with the shark and blood.

  • ABC would always include this scene whenever they showed Jaws 2. I have a videotape of Jaws 2 from the ABC Sunday Night Movie from sometime in 1985, with this scene included.

ABC always did that to their movies back in the day - it was mainly to fill time for all the commercials, and all the shots that were edited for content. ABC was notorious for this, up until the mid 90's.

  • They should have left this in the movie, that way it would have been half decent!

  • Go Jaws! Get those bratty teens!

  • It´s the same "scream and sound " from jaws 1 when Hopper gets attacked in the cage.

  • Oh, yeah! I just noticed that watching and listening to it again.

  • Hopper? Who the hell is Hopper? It's Hooper you dumbass!

  • nä nu jävlar alltså MEN KOM DÅ !!!!!

  • @MrKertty

    hooper

  • Oh million thank yous, Ive been wanting to watch this extended version for years. Never had the chance so far. Well, apparently the shark attacks the pilot but doesnt get him, I expected it be more gruesome and gory, so I guess the pilot just drowns...again, thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • yep :)

  • Holy crap... I've been looking for this fabled scene for years after hearing about it and almost gave up thinking that it never really existed... Thanks for the upload!!

  • " Smile you Son of Bi............. Ahhhhhh still love the movie till this day LoL

  • remember this scene from the movie theatre!! ha ha

havn't seen it in YEARS ... thank you for posting

  • Why was the extended underwater shot cut from the version I saw of "Jaws 2"? I admit it's very suspenseful, but it's not gory like I thought it might be (possibly why I thought it was cut from the film).

  • i like the extended maybe little better than the other

  • can you upload the whole movie of jaws and jaws 2,i've been trying to look for jaws 2 and jaws to watch but the two movies are not uploaded on youtube

if you can upload the whole movie of jaws 2 and jaws that would be great

  • I'm legally not allowed to upload full movies. :( My account here is already being watched for a Copyrighted Britney video I uploaded. :(

  • @Ggoblin2007 if you would go spend actual money to watch it that would be great.

  • @Ggoblin2007

how about u buy it you can get it for like 3 pounds ...piff

  • thanks for uploading it, couldn't find this scene anywhere else (don't own the DVD myself)

  • You're welcome!
