you telling us you're actually a guy. thats not terrible or scary. thtats just down right spine-chilling horrifying. :OOO
and why are you speaking with so many pauses between words. we're socially anxious, not 10 year old retarded kids learning english for the first time.
sorry dont mean to be a douche, just find it interesting ^^
Has anyone suggested the scientific approach? A Neurofeedback specialist can analyze the problem by looking at the brain activity. If you have severe activity causing your thoughts to race this will cause severe anxiety. Neurofeedback can unlock the brain. My son has had 26 sessions and is feeling extremely better.
Woah... your videos really help me through. I mean I have generalized anxiety disorder, but social is part of it since it's general, so everything you say makes alot of sense.Like somebody in this world really knows me. I've never met anyone with the same problem like this, so you really help me alot-also because I hate seeing my therapist/psychiatrist. You know, little things that really frighten me. So thank you very very much (: Aren't some of your video ideas based on a book? Whats it called
Hi beautiful Emily, thank you so much for this. The way you talk, directly directed to the inner child in my heart. I (the inner child in me) need someone to talk nicely and highly logically as the way you do, the way that enable my mental tummy to completely digest the message. I've seen other trainers who haven't experienced issues they talk about themselves, their style is more like a teacher's style, which can be aggressive at times. You are lovely and very intelligent emotionally. =)
I forgave my father and my brothers publicly today...... That wasn't horrible...... In fact..... That's a sign that my social anxiety has been immensely weakend.......
Most of the SA videos on YouTube are of people recounting their experiences with the condition (which is cool too - I totally respect people who can muster the courage to talk so publicly about it). But yours focus much more on strategies and applications for overcoming SA. I guess I just want to say thanks! I feel like I should be paying for this! :D
@poshko41 you're welcome! well ^-^ I would love donations if you can, ^-^ , OR for you to purchase something from my online shop...I will also get paid whenever someone buys something from there, all the products there will help S.A....just click the link below my videos or click the link to my website on my channel page. Both the donate page and Shop page is on my website through the link. ~love and hugs :)
this really helped a lot ive realized i have had social anxiety since i was young but i didnt realize it until about over a year ago and i believe its been getting better just been trying to force myself to be social. But with it getting better and all this still helped a lot makes you view things differently thank you for doing this. and yeah you're pretty cute
nice video!funny too!Certainly helped in changing my perspective of being terrible or scary!
i have this problem of absentmindedness!i often forget what is told to me.Thatz why my family and friends often comment on me saying that i'm stupid and good for nothing.I was really scared to tell anyone about this fearing i would be made fun of, so i started to remain isolated.Thatz really not terrible, isn't it?i'm learning
to give my self good self talk and open up myself. Thanks a lot!
lol well its not the same making a complete idiot of yourself in front of a camara than in front of a group of people, plus you r beautifull it will take i little more than that to embarrass yourself
That's a blunt way of putting it, but difficulty with social interactions IS a major symptom of autism. You do have a unique (although very adorable) speech and facial movement patterns which resemble those of some autistic individuals and I wonder if you've ever been diagnosed?
@ParkParkParkPark Oh really? No-one has ever said I look or sound autistic before! Who Knows! I'm not even that sure exactly what autism is. No I was only diagnosed with severe social anxiety disorder. But I am fine socially with someone I'm totally comfortable around, like my boyfriend
hey how are you doing? just saw your comment here and i think although self help is very good you should maybe still get therapy, i have counselling at college and it helps you to realise your own weaknesses you canchallenge and to learn new ways of thinking, social skills, body language ect. if you go to a college or school or something like that and if they have free counselling sessions i would think it would help you and anybody else if they read this comment. its helped me massively
Cool video! I love the idea of really looking at the words we use to describe an event (whenever that time may be) and then seeing the situation in its true, realistic form. I think I'll start using it in my life from now on. Thanks again!
Oh, and I thought the part at 5:56 was hilarious! Just WTFLOL random. Once it was getting closer to the end I stopped paying attention in order to write my comment, so maybe that's why I was just cracking up when I saw you do that. LOL!
Yes that is true =) I can't please everyone in the world. But the good thing is that no matter what, there will always be people that like me as I am. They are the people you want to surround yourself with. This is the same with everyone else
That's with my current mindset, of course, When I WAS single and your age I wouldn't have even been able to look in your direction. Stunningly attractive women made me feel very awkward back then. :)
OMG, wow. You really hit a point. I guess, its just such a big deal in our head. we blow it out of proportion. Wow.
Thats brilliant, thanks. *****.
Oh, and only one thing in that vid is actually scary. you, your voice. so direct and deep:-) In a good way though, but not really scary. but imagine if someone in reality approached you speaking like that. it would be scary a little I think. :-D
Sorry, this is off topic, but if you really are a guy, you are the most beautiful guy on the planet. For the person feeling rejected, it is overwhelmingly and deeply painful...thus terrible and scary for them. It is very difficult (if not impossible) to totally understand another person...but it is always worth the effort. My heart always goes out to the insecure person. Any public activity is a challenge to our confidence, self-image and values. So, hang around those of love.
3:17 yes for me it is really terrible :(

Yes being rejected is terrible, it's horrifying to me, it's like me being pushed into a volcano and not accepting death.
Dating? Shoot me.
And if someone thought I was weird, boring, weak, unattractive, loser, failure, ugly, fat I'd hi five them because it's true.
