Free inexhaustible energy is real! But the Oil coporations life depends on covering this up,Get a motor that works with the power of magnets only at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the energy revolution!
The AC voltage from the main MO transformer is (thought it was tripling) doubled in this setup and since the doubler uses diodes in it, the AC voltage is rectified and makes DC. The MO caps are rated in AC voltage and are not polarized. You can still use them for storing DC.
I wonder how tesla would feel about paying electric bills, when electricity is not hard to harness, hell he built a machine that pulled electricity from the air,of course govt and industry buried that .
your first schematic is not a tripler, but a doubler with useless diode and 2 capacitors. The series combination of capacitor and diode in second schematic is also useless thing :)
Thanks I think. Looking into it. I found that you are correct. That is probably why I had a hard time with the spark gap. That is why I went to voltage quadrupler. I tested the tripler on a lowvoltage AC circuit and will post a video if you guys want. Also I can make corrections to the schematic too.
I agree with the audience. Trash the music. Talking would be better because the words distract from pic. And I was wondering how you get resonance with a DC voltage? Pleas send me a note to my Channel about that. Wouldn't A AC tesla coil would be more powerful. Higher frequency can penetrate more air and go farther distance.
It is a DC coil in that it uses DC to charge the capacitor bank. It allows more control over the charging voltage by using the RSG to charge the bank up. DC setups are usually used in much larger coils.. and is typically more complicated. It is a DC resonant charger because it uses the large charging/isolating inductor in a resonant charging system... so you essentially get 2X the voltage to charge the caps with that you put into it.
I thought that I aw a couple of fatal strikes to the primary. Did you add a grounded section of metal down there or not? If not, that is probably why your oil burner went south. High frequency and voltage kickback you know?
Thanks... but it is already using a voltage tripler in this video (and right now a voltage quadrupler). Those use diodes and caps to do the voltage multiplication.
Yes he was a Serbian inventor and probably the most important the history of this earth so far. He brought us the mighty AC power distribution system probably one of the most taken for granted of his inventions. Thanks for the comment! What interesting song would you recommend? I will put it on my next video if I find it interesting too.
hey how did you get it to work?i am using a voltage doubler circuit and a 13nf capacitor.all i get is a hot flaming arc across the spark gap.how did you do it?is that the purpose of the rotary spark gap?because i have so much current it bypasses the caps.and reply will be appreciated!
Yep you guessed it. The rotary spark gap is part of the key. If there was a fixed gap it would just flame up in a very large arc. Also this is a resonant charging circuit so there is also the large charging choke too. This kind of isolates the doubler from the rest of the circuit.
I also found that higher voltage is better than higher current. Try making a voltage quadrupler. In this video I use a voltage tripler but I went to a voltage quadrupler and it works better.
I tried a voltage doubler at first and the spark gap had to be really really small... and was hard to get going. High voltage ... lower current.
I will make a video of my current setup (as soon as I fix my tank cap -- I broke it ...). I put all of the stuff in this video in a nice package and put in a voltage quadrupler instead of a voltage tripler (much better results). Plus I improved my rotary gap.
Any chance of a new video? Haha i like this coil. I will try this circuit again when i have some time i want to spare. I do currently have a running tesla coil with a 720 watt 12kv 60ma nst. I still wanna try this power supply though, since i now have a 400bps rsg..
the user HomeDistiller here on YouTube. He has a coil similar to what I think you are trying to do (a pulsed DC coil). He uses a rotary spark gap made out of an angle grinder (I think). Very cool and really good results.
thanks for the reply!if you look on my videos you can see i made my own dc charging supply.just need a rotary gap.have a good fast motor and i just need a balanced disk of plexyglass or a strong material
Great job! I used to have a MOT powered Tesla coil. You can also put 2 transformers so they give 4 Kv as the starting voltage. I had 4 transformers delivering 8 Kv but the inner windings of the outer transformers like to short to their metal cores.
Thanks! With only using 1 MOT there is no stress on it as far as over voltage. With the voltage tripler/quadrupler I can attain 10kVDC and higher. Any videos/pictures or page on your coil?
Awesome! I would love to see it. I based mine on the one from Scope Boy and other coils such as RogerFromOhio's and TeslaPigeon's ... of course the coil I built is less power.
I have since updated my coil and packaged it in a nice neat package. I added a leg to the voltage tripler and have turned it into a voltage quadrupler. The spark gap fires much more reliably now. I also had to rebuild it with tungsten stationary electrodes and steel moving electrodes (the brass ones were too wimpy). Contact me for more information. I would really like to help you get one built. I will also try to post up a newer video!
I assume you are talking about the "De-Queing" diodes (the bunch of them tied together in series). They are the right way round. They prevent the stored power in the 2 charging inductors (chokes) from coming back into the power supply. The triangle points to the direction of the flow from + to -. The line indicates that the current cannot flow the other way ... when going from the line back to the triangle point.
I am the diode supplyer... too bad I actually use diodes now! Hahaha, I used to just keep them because I thought "one day I'll use these" then I gave em to you. Hope you get your 2 feet, man.
I can coil vicariously through you. Since my coil ain't workin.. yet.
sorry if you think im critisising!!! i am not ..see my video dissapointing ...im hitting the rail a lot ..i only dropped it about two inches and it sorted the problem out !!just a suggestion.. to hit 40 inches you will need a bigger "toroid" and more cap..you have plenty of power to do that now !!!
Thanks! I enjoy hearing feedback on my stuff goodorbad. It is one of the best ways to improve. I am in the process of putting the whole setup into one package instead of sprawled out haphazardly all over the floor. I figured the strike ring was too tall when it kept hitting it over and over and over again. I will lower it... Also found that raising the topload a bit higher helps out too. The bowl that I used can be adjusted up and down. Goal is around 2ft.
thanx for ya time to share ya tesla diogram wish more would be as sharing. great video. teslas rock ;-)

mannys9130 3 years ago
You did see discharges down that way. They are all to the strike rail. The strike rail is about 2 inches higher than the primary.
The OBIT went because it was old and I overstressed it with a huge cap bank and other parameters. I pushed it too much for too long.

i did it

wow a very nice coil...made from a ceiling fan...wow didnt see that one coming ....mine is made from a personal fan!!

A personal fan is probably easier to get the wire out of. The ceiling fan has 2 sets of windings and was difficult to unwind in 1 long piece.
