i agree with you edro. i listen and enjoy treys music but i dont look at him as an amazing guitarist. however, i think what the fans enjoy is the songwriting and melodies. i am going to the show tonight but im more excited to see classic TAB, a band of horns, keys, and vocals....should be a good time.

good counterpoints. totally sold me that he is an amazing guitarist. Here is an idea, make some arguments about his musical ability rather then just insulting me....This video proves the point the edro and myself are trying to make...explain to me the amazing guitar playing you see and hear in this song...its good and I think its fun to listen to, but just because I like it doesnt mean i have to suck on his balls

@slashks10 just type in ghost jam in youtube its a 98 show. or just go listen to any you enjoy myself from 1994 you can't judge trey from this one video. Trey is truly one of a kind man, so sorry to burst your bubble but he is AMAZING

I don't know anything about playing the guitar, but I think Trey is an exceptional guitar player just because no one plays the guitar like him. Trey speaks with his guitar. When he strikes those notes, it's like a dog whistle... "Hush! Trey's talking!" No, he's not the greatest guitar player of all time, but he speaks to me, and he speaks to a lot of other people, which makes him exceptional. Just listen to him tell his story...

I honestly mean no disrespect to the man or fans but aside from his tight backup musicians and a good light show and stage presence, I see no exceptional guitar playing or vocal stand out. Am I missing something?. BTW, I'm an old school rocker who has been to more rock concerts than many of you could count and a guitarist. Just curious why the guy is held in such high esteem. Again, no disrespect to him or his fans, honestly, just don't get the fascination with him. Anyone clue me in?

Well no disrespect but either your not a guitar player or you don't know how to play at all if you are saying you don't think trey is an exceptional guitar player. Or maybe you have only watched this one video of him.... because he doesn't wow anyone in this song. Look up the song you enjoy myself and then decide.
