  • Does he really need 8 tanks? I have never dived to 200m so I do not really know.

  • thats a lot of cilinders..

  • wow did you know someone beat that record with out scuba gear.. its called free diving

  • @MrPillchard 200m? i think your mistaken.....

  • @Mcstooger hmmm yeah probably, im only 14 and have only just started free diving (with my dad). Haha sorry for being a dick

  • @Mcstooger no herbert nitsch 214 meters google him and freediving record:-0

  • is it compressed air in the canisters?

  • what's with all the tanks?

  • @isomikieee Well the deeper you go the more tanks you need for your DECO stops. Thats why proper training is needed for anyone wanting to scuba dive. Even recreational diving can kill you or worse mess you up bad physically if you dont follow proper deco stops. You can suffer from being parylised, to blindness and many other painful things if done hazardously.

  • deco?

  • 318.25 m is the world record

  • Isn't it boring to go that deep, only to be able to just stay 3 minutes down there and have to go back up?

  • @dope187 ya but its the thrill of going down that deep

  • anyone know,

what depth you need to be at for it to get DARK ?

    is it 700m?

  • fair enough seadiver26, but you can also get good dive stories on the net. Try the myscubastory site. Type myscubastory into google and its the first one, i think. good luck!

  • Wreck diving 202 m yes ok. congratulations :) but no record .

In 2003r , discoverer Yolanda Grzegorz "Banan" Dominik

dived on the wreck DEPTH 210 m.

  • possibly - but we did it on open circ.

  • 202 ON S C U B A YER ERFFF YUR HEED JIMMY.

  • Im curious, could you use a trimix with 21% o2 and then a nitrogen, helium mix and do a recreational dive to 40m ? Any advice would be good

    Thanks

  • @97Arran If you were NITROX certified by any half decent agency then you would know the answer to this already. Don't think of starting to muck around with trimix until you are certified.

  • Wouldn't a mixed gas re-breather be a better idea for that depth?

  • @SeverEnergia It would if you were CCR qualified and very experienced. The problem is you'd still have to take enough bail-out gas and deco gas with you in case the CCR decided to get stroppy with you at the bottom so you would still be carrying a bunch of stages with you.

  • So what was the total dive time? Must have had something like 4 hours Deco from that 2 minutes at 202 right? Even with Pure O2 in the shallows?! If I am learning I would say about 5 deep stops and 3 shallow stops with pure O2 at 3 meters and a EANx60 at 10 and 6 meters?

Do I get a gold star or do I need to read some more?

    I'm just learning.... :D

  • @WolfieTed go to suunto website and download their divemanager software then plan the dive yourself...

  • Brilliant!!

  • Awesome Awesome

  • now this is serious diving :)

  • Cool guys,

But I would check out surface supply, much easyer LOL! :-)

  • damn dude, try CCR!

  • hey guys,

what was your deco times or did you stay within your bottom times

  • клево. Дмитрий, это тот дайв который на тетисе обсуждался?

  • Why don't they use rebreathers? all those stage-bottles must weigh a metric fuck-ton on the surface..

  • rebreathers are designed for shallow water and can very easily malfunction when going deeper than 20 meters or so.

the reason the military use them is that they generally do not dive very deep, however on the rare occasion that they do dive deep, they like to use nitrox/trimix/heliox gas mixes

  • @eannab I'm sorry but you talk nonsense. Anyone who thinks that nitrox is a deep diving gas show themselves as knowing nothing about diving. There are too many armchair Cousteau's on this site.

  • my apologies for the poor wording of my statement

when i said deep, i mean about 30-40 meters

that is deep by military standards (which is what i was referring to) as any deeper may be impractical and unnecessary depending on the mission

Although they have been known to experiment with various gases at the 80 meter mark

And for the record, i am a qualified padi scuba instructor and have done 2 and a half years in the military so i know what im talking about

im just bad with words and i apologise

  • @eannab yeah sorry for the mini attack - I get narked from so many of the ridiculous posts from wannabe divers. I also can't stand people spouting off about world depth records when that has been set already at over 700 meters by working divers. Zooming down a piece of string and coming straight back up without achieving ANYTHING (apart from lots of ear equalising) doesn't impress me at all.

  • thats alright mate, i agree with you there

    sorry for the misunderstanding mate

  • @Berkcam I've only had 3 dives, the guy teaching me is a Tech Diver, but as a newbie even I know about Tri-Mix...

One problem with youtube, everyones an expert! :D

  • @Berkcam HAHAHAHA thumbs up. Nitrox a deep gas?! Although you do use a 60% mix in Tec Deco stops, even 100% above 6 meters to cut down on the Deco time?

I just started a Tec course after doing my Nitrox course last week. Got to 66 meters last night and really psyched up about getting back out there. It's a real shame I discovered the Philippines and Diving at 29 and not 19! :(

Oh well, I'll make up for lost time!

  • Comment removed

  • @eannab military use them because they don't make bubbles where enemy can spot the divers

  • with re-breathers i dont think you can dive very deep ...i think theyr very max is 35-40 m

  • nope. I did 131met on Inspiration and 120met on megalodon.

  • 2 HOURS ON 180 METERS!?!?!? Are you fuckin nuts!?!?

  • @webgazda no I aint nuts just a professional diver who has done well over 4 hours at that depth several times.

  • bullshit. I needed 20min to get to 265met, spent there 2 min and had almost 11 hours of deco. 4 hours on 180 meters, you'd get a week of deco and you'd needed a Titanic-size of a vessel as a support :) we're talking about OC-dive here, not industrial-grade rebreathers for oil rig U welders.

  • @webgazda bullshit to you pal 'cos I'm a saturation diver with many years experience so you see why 2 minutes bottom time (just enough time to fart) don't impress me when we do 4 to 6 hours actually working at that depth.

  • You CAN NOT compare saturation dives with open-circuit dives. Thats a bullshit comparation that does not work in this case, those two dives a not comparable, its different worlds of diving!

  • @Berkcam Is it true that if you stay in a bell at depth when commercial diving (ie. stay on site for 3 months lets say) your beard and fingernails don't really grow at all (very very slow if anything)

  • @WolfieTed - I have never really experienced slow hair or nail growth... or maybe just haven't noticed! What I do suffer from is terrible 'compression arthralgia' in the back - a lower back ache like you have just dug a trench - horrible.

  • @Berkcam Maybe you were digging trenches at 200m? You did say you were working after all ;-) Problem with getting satted is the 1hr/metre depth ascension rate. Hope you brought a book with ;-)

  • @webgazda no I aint nuts just a professional diver who has done well over 4 hours at that depth several times.

  • wolrd record dive was 318,25 meters deep

  • not anymore.. its 330m now

  • so where's the wreck? I've dived there loads and always wondered what's left of the boat

  • In Egipt near Sharm EL Sheikh

  • a few vr3 XD!!

  • Why not use a rebreather?

  • Must me heavy to breathe down there, like breathing liquid. :D

  • who knows they may have good quality equipment :-)

  • The air is denser....

  • Or mix.

  • They would deffernetly use a mix

  • yeah I know

  • My guess would be stages using different blends of heliox/trimix and probably pure oxygen on the last stop.

  • well ya that too :-(

  • what is that music plz ??

  • Mr. Paul Oakenfold :)

  • Dpo, 0:23 seconds what computers were those guys using? ty

  • VR3

  • switch on name of song

  • ty man for that name of song i download it

  • We have requested deep box from polish guys - but didn't receive it in time - due to that we were unable to make movie.

Second divewe did on 160 m - tried to use self made box - It has blown up, having punched a wing (OMS). Lucky to my buddy he had 2 camera wing (as additional to dry suit and we were equiped with scooters as well.

  • And???? Where was "Yolanda""?! (if it ever existed....)

  • Awesome dive but it looks hilarious carrying so many tanks lol

  • as for music - Mr. Paul Oakenfold - Mega Men

  • @superfast30 the hardest part i found of carring 5-6 tanks is getting back up in teh bout but i have never been this deep but i have carried 6 tanks

  • The music matches the video perfectly. Very cool.

  • I just wish you could get the camera down with you...

  • At those depths, how many divers are around you doesn't matter, you are alone. Each one took his air for himself.

Diving is a beautyful sport that I do with freediving. But reach those depths are nothing else than a record, not exploration. And that's not a passion that I share.

Anyway, you still do a good job.

  • Beyond me, why were you not on closed circuit, saves carrying all that shite about with you?

  • i read that those closed circuits are not relieable at all...I think for such a dive u take the safe bet and carry abit more esp.. since they arent that havy aunder water compared to the weight on land

  • Ha Ha you still need bail outs at that depth, plus the usual for deco!

  • Well that was pretty dumb... 2 minutes bottom time was worth the hours of deco and all that money on mixed gas?? just tell me WHY did you do it?

  • What for people take mountain tops?

  • Maybe it's time to get a rebreather? ;-)

  • probably yes, but have no time for educatin and experiences tudy

  • yes it does, - cause you may read my feedback )))

  • By the way: On 0:40, just how many botlles can a human being carry?

  • Does the usual scuba gear work at that depth?

  • It says the bottom time was 2 minutes. Bottom time is measured from leaving surface to leaving bottom and a dive to 170m would take 4 minutes to get there. Anyhow, what was learned from this dive, what did you see on the wreck that was of interest?

  • Bottom time , means, time which we have spent on the maximum depth of that dive. ;))

  • GOOD ANSWER BRO!

  • You are talking about dive time. Bottom time is different here.

  • So how was the wreck?

  • wreck looks like a metal heap . we've used z-planner scheme, conservatism '20' ( close to vr3 - level '0'). last stop was around 80 min on oxy.

  • Do you have your logs posted somewhere ? Did you used DC ? How long was your last stop ? Was it with the pure oxy ?

I understand that it's impossible to get equipment to have good shots at the bottom ... but still curious. How was the wreck ? :)

  • Hi there, I am commercial diver, and I do this kind of stuff for living, but I see no sense in doing this for fun, for what? for set a record? ohi ohi better being pisst of good whisky.

  • this is a phisofical question :). You are doing such things and have a money - we are just paying money to do this. ))))))

  • That is so fucking amazing man

  • thats tec!

  • Very nice dive, I knew about it but never saw the video before, thanks Scubazmei!!! Nuno32181
