"Do not follow where the path may lead, rather go where there is no path and leave a trail..."
One summer, when I was staying at nearby Thunder Bay Inter'l hostel, I decided to carve a trail through the thick underbrush into the falls following the river on the west bank. I declared it "Jeff's Path" in honour of my dearly departed friend with whom I used to jump the falls, frolicking in the rainbows and mists below.
It is indeed a magical place, jump and be safe...enjoy!
Like I said, my older brothers who were like 16 and 17 took me there on a regular basis... Im sure if more of the old Mckenzie School kids seen this footage and seen my comment they would be like Oh yeah she did jump at 3, 4 ,5 all the way up til I was 19 yrs old. Im 41 now and I cant for the likes of me imagine jumping these days... but I did however jump, in fact one time when I jumped I went underneath the falls and came up inside the caves... my brothers freaked, they thought I was dead!
I jumped off Mckenzie Falls when I was 3 yrs old!! My big brothers use to bring me there all the time, their friends couldnt believe a 3 yr old would jump off the cliffs..
What can I say, my brothers were awesome leaders.. I was a follower.. they jumped.. so I jumped..
Ummm No, I had courage back then.. did I mention my brothers took me there.. I think it was jump or we wont bring you again!! lol Also let me mention that my brothers also had me smoking at 3. Oh by the way.. Im a girl!! lol Im over 40 now.. and I take my kids there too.. If you can hold your breath long enough when you jump, you can swim underneath the rock... and enter into a cool underground cave.. The cave is also cool!!
It's still open, I was actually just there today, although the water was a little high and fast to jump in much. The trail is till open to but there's lots of trees fallen in the way.

nice video. I didn't know you could still get to the falls, i heard it was blocked off.
That is the scariest jump, those ledges just below the surface would suck to hit

There is a trace to it from the other side of the property. Just have to walk a bit further. The trace is good..

Yes, Its fun. I've been there. Under the falls were tiny frogs sitting on the rock ledges.
