The dollar seats really aren't that bad. Actually, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. It used to be an Olympic stadium, so naturally there are good views from everywhere.
Also, a little secret. A little more over from the end in the LAST row of the upper deck, there is constantly a breeze. The shape of the stadium funnels the wind so that the back row keeps it going from first pitch to last. Some hot day games I go up there even though that's not where my seats are.
The Washington Nationals have a similar offer except their tickets are $5 and are at the end of the upper level left field line. They make you enter the stadium immediately after you buy your ticket to avoid scalping.
Way back when, you could get seats like that at Fulton-County Stadium and end up sitting behind home plate by the end of the game. Hell, the way the Braves are doing these days that might be a reality this season.
Shit i wish we had dollar seats at fenway! Do you know what a dollar buys you at the fens? Maybe a mustard packet....
