Anyway, a lesson: 30 years ago a friend entrusted his vintage "Tommy" lighter to me, to replace the wick and fix the flint mech, which I did. for people who dont know the reason why sometimes it may or may not work is because the type/kind of banana. Phosphate is what "fills" (gives the appearance of there not being a crack/scratch) (bananas = high in phosphate), bannans have different levels of phosphate (organic ones typically have more). If you dont want to gooey-ness use a potato or phosphate powder. LIKE THIS SO EVERYONE CAN SEE IT, LIKE IF THIS WORKED

i use fine sandpaper to wetsand and get rid of any deep scratches then use a dremel with a felt pad and chrome/metal polish and that brings it back to a mirror really good.

I tried this on my iPod touch 8 gb. At first I was skeptical and a little nervous but after doing it I noticed that the scratches were not 100% gone but GREATLY reduced!! I tried it and it really didnt work, yeah it looks like it does at first but if you wait a good hour or two it will completly dry by a week all the banana will come out of the scratches and it will actually bring out the lighter scratches you may have not seen before. I have an ipod nano 5th generation and the material it is made out of is different. Can you post a video to help me with that? Also next time be sure to hold up the ipod completely and not at an angle this way we can be sure there really are no scratches. I have no idea if there were scratches or if the windex just made it shiny.
