I can't beloeve my dad was 20 in 69', but I turned him on to the Grateful Dead and New Riders of the Purple Sage. We used to sit, listen to tunes, and smoke out. Damn I miss you pops. R.I.P.
Good tunes are good tunes regardless of how old they are!! Or how old the listener is! My parents partied to this when I was a kid...brings back a lot of memories!!
how old are ye all i saw them with caned heat at Rochester Kent, when they were promoting Cook Book.( where did the allnighters go ).Met JOHN OTWAY wile back we chewed the fat.
These boys were alot of fun, my first concert 1974. Capitol Theater in Port Chester NY. Then saw em back up the Dead, Englishtown and Meadowlands NJ. Wow what a great time that was.
@kingcrimson1972 You GO, kid! It's great to hear that good taste transcends generations. in fact, the people with the best taste in music that I know now are all under 30, even under 20!
@3belgarath So Do I - In Vinyl ! ... it's still as shiny as the day I bought it tho. That was back when we took care of things. I think there's some burn holes in the cover tho...
Lastnight I stumbled across Barneys-Beanery not really knowing it existed! I felt like i'd die from Excite! Walked in said "well theres so many pretty people, i swear some of them are girls"
@CreatORder Every time I go there, I think of this song. I wish it was not tainted with its anti-gay past, but it still has teh best beer selection in town.
I used to listen to this album driving home from a long night of partying, singing at the top of my lungs when I was in high school in the early 70's. I love You Tube.
i remembering hearing this coming from downstairs when my folks were havin a party......always wondered what that funky smoke i was smellin...lol great tune !
my old man would drop this on the belt-driven TT, play his guitar and I would sing it. Circa 1977-8 .....years later he wondered why I would ever try drugs.
im just a lonesome LA Cowboy, hangin out, hangin on......,to your window ledge, callin your name from midnite until dawn. love that line with the slight delay in the sentance after hangin on...
