And the second thing is about the boat plan : the crowd sound had not such impact coz the scene wasnt deep enough, why ? coz you filmed the entire area ! try to make -again- closer shots, that makes more depth in the film
I'm not trying to teach you how to make videos, you certainly know more than me bout that xD
Hey Greg. This is awesome. Sorry that I can't make music for you more often. My equipment is all fried now here. I'm saving up for a portable recording station. I should have it early next year. Till then the occasional visit will have to do. But again nice work!
I see this Monastary pumping out trained Gaurds each year, but Ashira's class (of four or five people) were those who also showed promise in magic, and one was a healer, and one was an elementalist, and two were necromancers. In some sense I have felt kind of pushed for time, like I can't jam enough into these episodes. There was a lot of story that had to be filled in before Ashira and Rascha went to the cave, and I feel in terms of lots of story, this Episode more closely resembles Episode 2
the only thing i have against this episode is the necromancer's use of a martial weapon. in previous episodes she uses them to, but being a spell caster and wielding a sword in the manner she does doesn't seem to fit together, and that bothers me. i can see if she was trained martially as she was trained magically but there is no explanation for her to be that good in melee combat :[ i felt that it was a little slow in comparison to the previous 4 episodes, but it does justice to the storyline.
I have thought of that. I wanted to show Ashira in a lineup like the sunspears, all training for Gaurd duty, but there was no way to do that. This particular Monastary focuses on Necromancy, but the reason the Council has kept it around is that it's first purpose IS martial. Oranth Ra was the owner of the royal gaurd. We see in this episode the Council's attempt to sieze the Gaurd from the Necromancy Guild.
Thanks Cal, your kill Call vid is still a fav of mine (I have lots of favs that don't make it into my fav list :P) Somehow you actually captured a bit of Tarantino's brain in that one, at least in my opinion.
The series gets richer with each episode, voice acting and the amount of interesting story content is supreme. Video makers that have been working on series, have tried to and others should know how extremely difficult it is to make a series so I must recognize this truly daunting accomplishment, it is beyond compare!
You've gotta see by now the charm of a series though. More chances to make something that will relate to everyone. I hope to see more series from other artists in the future.
One of the main reasons I give you 5 stars for every Lablo episode is because of the female voice actor you use for the star of the series. Her voice placed to that necromancer lady fits perfectly. Your genius script writing is always a treat to experience, not to mention your mastery of the sound bits to the scenes for the greatest dramatic effect. Fav part was the Grenth/Ashira scene and change of music. Simply brilliant.
Congratulations on your 5th episode! I imagine that you will be gaining fans whose main language won't be English, and if u ever consider subtitling I bet they will be really grateful. I really liked your neat camera angles with Grenth around the 5:20 marker. Gah I hate how you tube darkens our vids. Kudos to your voice actors, they did alot of work this episode! :) Also nice addition of background music around 8 min marker ;) gg Bagordy and crew ;)
Oh yeah, btw kiti... my vegas's default settings make the footage darker than fraps records it. Not originally intentional, but as Lablo is kinda dark, and at least centered around necromancers, it's an effect I intentionally kept. I have tried to be concious of darker areas, and have tried to light the areas sufficiently to show what I want, and am still working on perfecting that. Thanks for the input though.
Nah I got ya <3 Vegas darkens my vids a tiny bit too but to add youtube on top of it feels like overkill...i adjust contrast now after i post test runs of part 3...probably cuz it's Jake's pet peeve lolz but he has a point after a certain limit too much darkness is too much /glares at youtube
the storyline is moving along really well and Ashira skills are improving and great character development /clicks next

Awesome job! Interesting story and dialogue, good shot selection. And I agree with the comments on the voice acting - very impressive.

As usual I have no answer for your comment Jake. You pretty much covered it all. You nearly always restate what I like most about each episode.
