@TheMarvlogs The car started testing in January 2010 after the final design was approved in 2008-2009. Can't remember where I saw it, but spring 2009 stands out in my head. Development began around 2006-07. The same pattern exists for other predecessors. W221, development began 1999-2000. Design approved 2002, unveiled in June 2005. 2006 model in E.U. and 2007 model in U.S.(in early 2006). W220, development began in 1992, design approved in 1994-1995. unveiled Summer 1998.

@spearkill duude they're just testing the engine and they probably didnt make the full body yet... its 2013 so they're still designing it

@kiterzen0123456789, I know that they didn't design the body yet, most car makers prefer to use temporary plastic panels, but why did they use PADDING?

@blasterowner Cars dont get designed in a few months, it takes years...in fact BMW takes 4 years to develop 1 model of a vehicle. So this car is about half way into development. This years model was probably in testing during the end of 2010.
