A lovely piece of music played by a band who really gave pop music an alternative edge with their Celtic-inspired sound. It worked well :-) I first heard this out of my best friend's car stereo system, so beautiful but at the same time almost brought tears to my eyes.

I told my lovely bride just today, that I remember this song from when I was a boy. My grandfather used to hum the tune all the time. It always put a sad respect kind of feeling in my heart. I hadn't heard the words until recently. Now I understand. It is a beautiful song, both instrumentally & vocally. Still brings a tear to my eye. Alive and well! She recorded two tracks in 2008 with operatic singer Bryn Terfyl. It was recently announced by Xpose, RTE television, in an interview with Sharon,that she will be releasing her own solo album, on which she has written all of the tracks and will sing and play violin.
