  • I remember, as a small child, 'the Tristans' coming to Merstham, they were housed in an old army barraks. We used to go and visit them and play with the children. We made some friends of the kids there and used to bring them home for tea occasionally. I always wondered what happened to them, did they all go back or what. I moved to Vancouver so lost touch with school friends there. I remember, later, a girl in our school married a man from Tristan. Looks beautiful there.

  • Id like to ask there is any way to become citizen of Tristan de Cunha? :)

  • I was born on Tristan Da Cunha in 1959 before the volcano erupted and was shipped to England in 1961 and then went back to the Island when it was safe in 1963. We returned to England in 1965 and i have never been back. I will be going back in 2012 for the first time. Nice video of modern Tristan many thanks Ian
