I've not been able to post a comment there and I've wanted to say something...when you give Maru shopping bags to play with it would be a lot safer for him if you remove the handles from the bag first! One of my cats got a grocery bag around her neck somehow one day (I keep them away from the cats but she got to them anyway) and it was really lucky I was home and got the bag off her right away.
