doesn't matter. local broadcasts re-evaluate their on-air talent every year and update based on current demands. in 1969 local broadcasts were primarily single anchor just like the network evening news, this expanded to primarily 2 male anchors, then mostly 1 male/1 female, then often 2 female. Today's standard is to make sure there is a contrasting balance between the two anchors. In this case, trust me, their only requirement was to hire a young blond female.
