I own an H2SUT, all it realy is, is a exotic 3/4 ton truck. Ill never buy another one, the front ends are a disgrace for a 3/4 ton truck. My GMC uses heavier grade steel and its a 1988

@goodbusiness12 Nah the chassis are fine. Everybody thinks because it's a hummer that it's going to be an increadable off road machine....it's not. Is baised on a truck chassis that was designed for pulling trailers down paved roads. H2's are basically the same thing. Great for 22's and picking the kids up from soccer practice.

@teabakes Lift kit, large tires and off road? Not so great. GM abandoned the off road comunity years ago when they decided to focus on ride quality by going with independant suspensions up front. I know the H1's are independant suspension but it's purpose bulit for strenghth and reliablity. The H3 came close before they killed it....for the most part if you want to go off roadding you need a soild axle....Dodge Heavy Duty, Ford Superduty and Jeep Wranglers all have them. Tough as nails

@teabakes I was a GM guy for years...but I got tired of spend money on the front ends. Tie rod, ball joints and axle shafts don't last very long when you're wheeling them. Put a locker in the front of one of them and you better have a buddy with you for a tow home. Whem it came time for a new truck I had to get a Dodge Ram 2500. 200,000kms and I just put in ball joints! My 03 Chev was every 30,000kms!

@teabakes at least the things you said are true, unlike most hummer haters. in my opinion h2s are only weak off road when you compare them to a jeep or h1. i consider them in the tahoe/ expedition/ escalade catagory and they are no doubt the best off road vehicle for a big heavy suv
