No connection with Bin Laden. Cheney admitted it, 9/11 commission found no connection, and he's not wanted by the FBI for the attack. Bin Laden himself says he had nothing to do with it. Do you know why the soldiers dont report wrongdoing, because look at what they did to Pat Tillman. Pat Tillman was questioning and against uselessly Murdering Innocent Citizens and his own Marines shot him Dead. I agree with the man who said that these blanket statements are counter-productive. I also served in Iraq and I saw none of this. It is not widespread. And if these incidents actually happened, man the fuck up and report it appropriately. Stop taking my reputation down with the douche bags that did it, if in fact they did.

Trouble is these soldiers may have been given prior warning from the relevant commanders they would obstruct any future investigations.

For the fore mentioned crimes to be perpetuated with impunity would require a cultural acceptance from the bottom up. Ok, so that means military internal investigations unlikely. That leaves governmental(eg. legislature) and journalistic investigation.

I do not really know who this Bing West, but just as easy as all the soldiers could be lying, so could he. So why would I take his word at face value over any ones else's? Am I wrong to think his choice of words sound more like redrict then a fare argument?

If I want the truth I can just go ask a vet myself, not that hard. And from the people I've talked to I have to ask at what point do isolated incidents get counted as the norm?

Bing West is a well known conservative, Fox News commentator who wrote a famous op-ed in 2003 about how we had already WON the Iraq war back in 2003. He is simply a political guy. These soldiers REALLY know what they're talking about. Peace.

Bing West is lying to himself if he thinks that their testimony is not representative of an enduring trend. While abuses are not the rule, they are much more prevalent than any reasonable person would expect.

Anyone who has listened to full testimonies from the Winter Soldier event knows the statements of that Captain are laughable.
