  • I'm trying my best to keep hateful comments off of here. It is a disgrace that people don't have anything better to do with their time but to be hateful. If you run across any disturbing comment, know that I'm working to get it DELETED as soon as possible. Thanks all for showing love and respect to my Grandfather, he wouldn't have it any other way.

  • I can't think of a sadder day in my life than today when I lost my brother, mentor and best friend. A braver man with integrity and resiliency has never existed. I will miss you the rest of my days but will never forget you. Descansa en paz. carnal.

  • Hi All,

I took a Mexican-American culture class and was required to produce a digital story about anything related to what we studied. We studied the corrido very intensely. This video was the result of my project. Grandpa was of great help, gathering pictures and going through his tons of cassettes to help me pick the perfect corrido. I love the story this corrido is telling. I loved hearing Grandpa's stories he told me that I never knew about! Yes, we [all] will always love Grandpa dearly!

  • Leslie thank you for this wonderful video. It is an upstanding and honorable tribute to the man that is the foundation of our section of the family tree. I carry the memories of the times together with all of you in our youth in my heart and as I create art it pushes through molding into something independent and all together beautiful. I love and miss you all, I LOVE YOU GRANDPA SO VERY MUCH. Brooke

  • I don't know when this corrido was written or recorded, but, I'm sure that some of the Tios would know. I first heard it when we went to a wedding in Sugarland, Tx. I believe it was prima Esmeralda's wedding? You memmer that prima Cachy & primo Riley? Anyway, that was the summer of 1988! I played this corrido all the way back home to SJ. I still have this cassette and still play it from time to time. Thanks for sharing this with us prima! It was very well done. - primo Paul

  • Thank you for sharing a part of our family history with us... This reminds me so much of Grandpa Cheto... :-(
