Although I've long finished both endings to GTA IV and alos RDR, I can still play both games and just wander around and do the mini-activities. What kinds of things are there to do in LA Noire besides the storyline?
@flipdog69xxx actually I think there are 80 side missions where you chase down criminals...
in this vid right here... is one of those missions... its a pervert running around with a camera taking pictures up ladies skirts... lol! so there are shoot outs, robberies, arson.... its really cool.... plus find all the land marks... which are real btw...
some other studio picks up the franchise and makes a sequel
HOPEFULLY
it will be set in modern time or at least the 18th or 19th century
kinda like sherlock holmes period
that would be also cool
i am really happy that you love this game because most of my friends couldn't beat the game because it wasn't like gta and it was slow paced and boring
FUCK THEM
THIS GAME IS FUCKING AWESOME AND FUCK YOU GTA NOOBS
@Hellhound30x deus ex is better. not so linear. although I do have to say that is this is the future of Rockstar's games witrh the mo-cap for the likes of the GTA and Max Payne? then I am all for it
Awesome vid for such an awesome game. I remember when you mentioned wanting to make this video, glad to see you finally put it out. It's definitely sad that Team Bondi is reduced to working on a movie game, but at least we got to experience this great game. I'm also a big fan of Dead Space 1 & 2!! I think it holds the crown for best survival horror game.
1.) I love your Buy or Die title (if PS3 Fan used that title, it be like gaming is a necessity or comparing video gaming to MLK). LOL 2.) Dude, this game looks great and you make it sound even greater. 3.) PS3 version of Xbox 360 version? Since its not a online game..i would get the one that is better looking and cheaper. :-)
@JBugGamer ps3 version bro... for sure! lol... one disc.. albeit not a big deal to me.. the "convenience factor" (as Icy would say.) comes into play...
You should rent it bro, and give it a shot... although be warned the beginning is kinda slow... I actually fell asleep twice... LMFAO! but once I became a homicide detective... and I go to my first case and the inside of the abandoned car is covered in blood.... well lets just say it gets better and better....
LA Noire was cool, but i think Heavy Rain was better. i really got tired of the fag in the passenger seat yelling obscenities at me. >_< the ending was also utter shit, literally. Cole drowns in shitty sewer water, WTF?
@Hellhound30x have you played Mafia 2? that game was VERY similar in many ways, both heros had a past in WW2, and the open world nature of the two games set in nearly the same time period though Mafia 2 progresses through a few decades. Mafia 2 had a much stronger story though in my opinion. more fun, definitely in the driving area. facial animations were the highlight of LA Noire but it was a little boring. Heavy Rain is similar too but is mainly action and suspense.
@SONYandMICROSOFT don't worry bro... I'll cry with you too... LOL! Kinda reminds me of Double fine studios with Sesame street kinect video game... and Rare only working on avatars for MS.... *shakes head slowly...* (sad face!)
@WillStrip4Food I've been meaning to do this vid for a while man... just never got around finishing it.... "unique experience" well put bro... well put indeed...
I remember getting off of work and feeling a bit excited to get home and turn this game on... its all I did for a while...
@Hellhound30x True that. It gave me a similar feeling to Heavy Rain and Metal Gear Solid 4 in it's fantastic storytelling approach, big ups to Team Bondi and R*
Now if R* would put their resources into a cyberpunk dystopian Sci Fi game with the attention to detail they put into LA Noire and the intelligence and atmosphere of movies like Blade Runner and Strange Days then I would be be fucking ecstatic :)
I rented LA: Noire and I plan to buy it @ a discount. I enjoyed the game, but a lack of multiplayer where users can create their own cases for others to solve, really kiss the replay value. Also, the story progresses no matter what. I mean you can fuck up every case, and you continue through the story. I heard 2 whole desk ranks were cut from this game for DLC and I question why. I mean this game didnt have to be open world. IMO, it would have been better if the game was straight up set pieces.
@Hellhound30x yea it's definitely a game to get for the few gamers out there that still care about a story.. the story is very well structured. i mean it starts slow and the newspaper back stories make no sense, but it all comes together beautifully in the end. it has drama, betrayal, conspiracy, the whole shebang you would expect from a good story. Rockstar games have really stepped up big time in story telling this gen. I know it was bondai who developed it, but rockstar had a huge influence.
@ez3002008 yeah i agree that Rockstar had a huge influence in the game... I think they've stated that in terms of quality... so yeah Rockstar is really setting the standard this gen for Video games/Interactive entertainment...
Team Bondi said they were primed for a sequel to L.A. Noire, but alas I guess it will never happen...
@Hellhound30x well idk how a sequel would be possible, but another detective style game that plays like this one would be awesome... too bad team bondi's upper management screwed them over... looking forward to agent and GTA5 tho, hopefully next year... man all this LA Noire talk makes me wanna pop it in the drive and play it again.... it's just that there are still a lot of games i bought that i need to catch up on
@ez3002008 I hear you bro. I've only played through the game once. I do plan on playing it one more time through. maybe get some more trophies... who knows... but yeah dude, I do get the feeling Bondi's upper management really screwed up... I remember reading a quote from one of the head guys at Rockstar saying they had plans to mold Team Bondi into another Take two development house in terms of quality... but things didn't work out because of the clash they kept having with bondi's Management.
about time you making the videos i miss thanx for putting my city on the map gracias
