This is an excellent tune, perhaps my favourite off the album, I love the words and the ending with that guitar chiseling away. It's always a cherished few seconds of serenity dancing upon my ears and inner being. Of course playing this loud as fuck doesn't hurt either. Fine tuneage from master craftsmen.
I thought I was the only one who ever appreciated this song. I deeply thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting it and letting others see how great it really is.BRAVO!
They were audibly influenced by Caravan in this period...and were even better.....!
Another influence is Brian Auger + the Trinity.
But "Between 10 + 15th" has its very own originality. Transcendent, magic....i could get up very well with it in the morning + this means something...i´m not a very special morning guy.
I used to get up in morning with this LP + "Up To Our Hips" in the first half of 90s with this LP (partly, not always...LOL) i´m glad i found the uploads inside "free" YouTube now (our German copyright association bars this all from us, silly assholes.....).
I agree its stood the test of time pretty well. At the time it was absolutely panned by Melody Maker, NME etc. Up to our Hips made people think twice about writing them off...and thats when they hit a real purple patch.
NME gave it 8/10, which ain't bad, but most other reviews slagged it off. Up to Our Hips had a very moderate reaction. It was The Charlatans that got them back on track...
phenomenal, i had to put echo, and new order, stone roses away for awhile.

@modsheff1 Briliant album, but if i may be so bold;- not as good as " Up to our hips". But they're definetely two of the best albums ever.

sheer utter brilliance, especially Tim's
sugary vocals on this track. Never get sick of listening to this track. Can't wait to see them in Boston

Sick tune. I loved between the 10th and the 11th. Lost it twice now and suspect it will be hard to track down in shops, though i always look.

I agree - and the album after that with `Can`t Get Out of Bed` was slated - but those are my favourites.
