I lost the album somewhere :( and I can't find the version without the back up vocals... Am I going crazy, or is there a version without the back up vocals??

That's good that you're not trying to impress anyone. The thing is that people who DON'T know what real punk is think that this is real punk and start saying it is. The fact that you think this is punk is quite laughable, considering it doesn't sound like punk AT ALL. Hell, Blink-182 sounds more punk than this, and that's painful to say. I don't care what people think of my music tastes; as you can see from my favorites I listen to everything from jazz to punk to technical death metal.
I play guitar and enjoy doing so, and every single one of my music teachers has said I have noticeable talent. I also have perfect pitch, play in bands, and am in the top choir in my school. And since when do you think I don't know what "real" music is? This music doesn't require talent to play, simple down-tempo major open chords and power chords. Also, ask anyone who listens to this band and they'll say it's pop-punk, a subgenre of punk, sure, but not real, true, roots punk at all.
Take Bad Brains for example. They played reggae and hardcore punk. Does that make them not punk? Hell no! They were fast, politically charged, no-nonsense punk. They didn't give a fuck about what other people thought of them, like these guys do, since they wear preppy clothes and put on an image so they can appeal to thousands of people. This may be rock, but it sure isn't punk. I'm not new to the punk scene at all, in fact I listen to a ton of punk and at this point you're assuming things.

The year this video came out (2005 or so?) was the year they became my favorite band. I didn't realize it had been that long.. I was only 13, maybe 14 then. It's crazy how much of my teenage years they've monopolized. I will miss them :/

They have some songs that are amazingly creative and awesome like salty eyes. I thought they were really creative this album and they gave the audience what they wanted too. this is classified as punk for the message, maybe you need to go to the roots of punk kid, i understand that when youre new to this scene and sub culture its confusing and exciting, go listen to the ramones and get your head on straight. youll one day learn that true punk doesnt give a fuck what you think. punk is NOT based around yelling and gang vocals, punk is based of different social & political views

That's good that you're not trying to impress anyone. The thing is that people who DON'T know what real punk is think that this is real punk and start saying it is. The fact that you think this is punk is quite laughable, considering it doesn't sound like punk AT ALL. Hell, Blink-182 sounds more punk than this, and that's painful to say. I don't care what people think of my music tastes; as you can see from my favorites I listen to everything from jazz to punk to technical death metal.

I play guitar and enjoy doing so, and every single one of my music teachers has said I have noticeable talent. I also have perfect pitch, play in bands, and am in the top choir in my school. And since when do you think I don't know what "real" music is? This music doesn't require talent to play, simple down-tempo major open chords and power chords. Also, ask anyone who listens to this band and they'll say it's pop-punk, a subgenre of punk, sure, but not real, true, roots punk at all.

Take Bad Brains for example. They played reggae and hardcore punk. Does that make them not punk? Hell no! They were fast, politically charged, no-nonsense punk. They didn't give a fuck about what other people thought of them, like these guys do, since they wear preppy clothes and put on an image so they can appeal to thousands of people. This may be rock, but it sure isn't punk. I'm not new to the punk scene at all, in fact I listen to a ton of punk and at this point you're assuming things.

Does using a crude term to insult someone's sexuality make you feel big? That's pretty sad (I'm straight). Also, to clear something up, hardcore punk is simply a harder, more driven version of punk, with generally no outside influences besides obvious ones such as rock, since punk is a subgenre of rock. Also, the Ramones are punk rock, the stylistic origin, as you say, of punk in general. For someone who claims to know all about punk, you sure don't know your subgenres.

And it's arguable that hardcore punk is metal influenced, no triplets or thrash roots, later hardcore punk may have metal breakdowns but I'm talking early hardcore. The year this video came out (2005 or so?) was the year they became my favorite band. I didn't realize it had been that long.. I was only 13, maybe 14 then. It's crazy how much of my teenage years they've monopolized. I will miss them :/

i dig the tune, but i personally think the bassist and guitarists try a tad too hard. i mean they'd be just as good without all the makeup and shit. i think their drummer gets this, hence why he's just in his regular gear. lol. cool song though. i remember this from way back.

I gotta say they lost a little something after e. von. dohl killed the locals. I understand that bands grow up, but i feel like they just got weirder. They have some songs that are amazingly creative and awesome like salty eyes. I thought they were really creative this album and they gave the audience what they wanted too. I think they should just give us a little more of what we want and I'll be happy. too much in their own world... hopefully their hiatus will fix that.
