I can hear some of the "scrambled words" i heard he said "Europe", "protection" and "Security", i can also recognise the mail voice. This analog encryption seems week.
Yes it may be against the law. m6cpm. and transmitting in clear mode is good for not attracting attention. I submit to you that if you really believe that transmitting in 'clear mode' is all you have to do to keep the feds off your back, then you should also use only post cards for all your letters you send through the U.S. mail. I mean if you have nothing to fear the why lick the back of the envelope? Have you ever heard of TOR?
Good radio and quite cheap to buy. Does a good job keeping nosey old men listening to conversations. And fook the Government. I didn't vote for the Government. We are all free and life is very short, So enjoy your life do what you want and don't let any Government dictate what you can and cannot do!. You are not killing anyone, doing no harm to anyone so screw the FCC and Ofcom.
@JasonDolan Best comment I have had, thanks! I have also made some tests on eQSO with these equipments and have had fine results. Finnish FCI approver amateur OH2FFY just removed all his earlier comments by himself, maybe he is not standing behind his words..
I know right I hate when some faggot talks about regulation, what gives some faggot in an office to make regulations against free people. They didn't create us, wtf are they better, are they superhumans lol people are retarded these days they can't think for themselves, they're slaves to the political machine and the system. As cliche as it sounds its reality. I know I don't care about the government though and I'll do what ever the fuck I want.
I'm a licenced amateur from the U.K. and it against regulation to use encrypted voice communication on amateur bands. Some pmr 446 radios are supplied with scrambler but using a puxing on 446 is not allowed because an external antenna can be fitted and 446 is limited to 500mw. In these times of increased security by our government i would suggest transmitting in clear mode so you dont attract any unwanted attention. Kind regards Chris. 73's
Thanks - That's how it goes regarding amateur regulation and in U.K. No offence but I'm not an amateur, and I don't care any acts of foreign governments :)
@BlackGoldEstates No DSTAR transmissions are in the clear but as you know the system is digital so your analogue radio will only receive what sounds like a data burst. Listen to a dstar repeater and you hear what i'm talking about. Hope that helps. RE my original comment i was not attacking anyone one for using inversion scrambling, just advising caution. If anything it attracts more listeners who want to decode it!! Do what you can to protect the hobby if its ham,cb or monitoring your scanner
lmao when I'm talking privately to who ever I want the government has ZERO business in what I'm talking about, the government doesn't control people, they didn't create me if they did I would follow their gay laws but until then I'm a free person, I can do what ever the fuck I want. I hate faggots like you who get "licenses" for using a radio lmao you're a slave to the system. Why should anyone get a license from them? You need a license from me too then lol.
@princepersia1 You couldn't read between the lines of what i was trying to convey.Above the puppets in power is a dark regime, the innocent kid on the radio with scrambled speech is a terrorist in their warped outlook! I'm training myself how to build antennas and transceivers.Maybe my next hobby will be archery. I'm getting prepared for when the shit hits the fan.Faggot i am not .
Infiltrate and educate yourself in the skills you will need. Are you ready?! kind regards M6
@princepersia1 That's right. I was in the armed forces when i first left school (a long time ago!)but you always remember those early lessons. So I'm trying to take on board as much as i can. Play the grey man. Go about everything in a calm manner and don't attract attention to yourself. Not really a covert op',but forward planning on the quiet. As you know you can't get through life totally unobserved.
@m6cpm , well, who cares, fcc and other countrys agencys cant find a mobile station in time anyways.
the "voice inversion" scrambler is a very old technology and easy to encrypt by a 50$ box from amazone or by some trialware audio programs for your pc. so even if the NSA or the local ham club find your transmission, they can descramble this in a minute and see that nothing serious is going on. they could even tell you in the same scramble code to stop transmitting.
voice inversion is not illegal. Anyone who knows how it works just has to put forth minimal effort to break it. It is not secure and will not stop anyone from listening to your conversations if they want to.
It is incorrect to say that it is not secure. It does offer a basic level of privacy.
It is untrue to say that it is not illegal, in some countries under certain contexts it can be.
It is also not correct to say that it "will not stop anyone from listening .. if they want to". It will prevent casual evesdropping from anyone who themselves don't have a voice inversion equipped receiver or the computer software and knowhow which that entails.
Well verry nice. Actually inversion is not sometring new, is done by a FX / PX cip eaven from many ears ago and used in the past by oficial protection services / guards and alike that now switched to digital tetra and alike. They are practical, quite easy to "reinvert" with pc software, not secure but good for talk privately and avoid easy evasdropping from noobs.
I am from Florida, I think that if he wants to scramble what he says fine you have worn him so it's his deal. Clean out your on back door before you try to clean someone elses!
Well, it's not a big crime to use this kind of function I think and it provides more secure conversation. Others might think it's just chinese people talking :)

There are also several "western" brands/models containing voice inversion and all these are for sale in Finland widely.
For example Alan HP-450H, Kenwood TK-3201, Cobra MT900, Yaesu Vertex VX-351PMR..
If it's illegal maybe you should, as a license holder, contact Ficora about the situation.
