  • This was interesting but I had to stop watching because the music was god awful.

  • This was interesting except I had t

  • i think that was very nice videos

  • WRONG! we all know number 1 is....

    CTHULHU!!!!!!

  • lion and hyena. lion king.

  • Thumbs up if Charlie Brought you here, well sort of :D

  • number 1: my girlfriend

  • your only accurate assumption was the pistol shirmp, all the others are incorrect as prooved by the most extreme.

  • my parrot can scream up to 140 decibels.... seriously

  • would have been nice to hear the sounds :I

  • all i know is that the lion can roar load!

  • Erm

Sperm whales are louder than most of them on the list

  • @SharpShot912 Nope the Gun shirmp is the loudest is called Gun for a reason(actually it is louder than a gun)... It uses the sound it produce as a weapon. It kills using it from a distance. The sound is so powerful it can disturb the sonic transmission of submarines...Also when the bubbles its attack produces collapse they release heat hotter than the sun that create a shockway that travels 60 mph . Just search here for Pistol Shrimp sonic weapon.

  • @kenzeus Erm i do know that the Pistol Shrimp is the loudest

but im not sure if you know that there is a difference between 'most' and 'all' and i said most

  • tht would be scary if u could sound like a hyena

  • It's seems silly but, Whales scare me for some reason 0.0

  • I thought the Indri lemur or the howler monkey would be among one of these animals lol

  • @yukiichigolollipop

the howler monkey is on the list

  • Ok. If these are the loudest then why do i hear music in the backround?

  • im now on high school and i gonna talk about whales thx for that little information

  • Comment removed

  • The ability to be heard at a distance has less to do with loudness than with frequency. A high frequency sound produces more energy (can be louder) but the sound does not carry very far. A low frequency sound does not produce as much energy but the sound can carry for a longer distance.

  • I don't believe the pistol's shrimp shot can be heard 500+ miles like the blue whale. Also how are you measuring the sounds? Because hearing a blue whales moan close up won't make you go death. It's more of smooth sound waves it throw through the ocean not some loud explosive moan.

  • Spelling error blue whale

  • BIZZARE

  • i took my pistol shrimp out of the tank and i ate him alive because he killled my tank mates gave him a lesson lol i just the fuckers head of and he snapped in my mouth

  • is a blue whale the loudest mammal then

  • Dont know where the period is on your keybord??

  • U really need to be alert u made a mistake in the lion

  • In soviet russia words spell you

  • love the song

  • dont mean to be a geek or rude but there are lots of factors which defines db so u have to take into account all the atmos conditions when u rate the credentials ... but hats off on the #1 contender....

  • @praj036 You're actually right, the difference in decibels from water to air is approximately 62 decibels. The pistol shrimp can generate about 218 decibels in water, so that's roughly 156 decibels in air. That's still amazing considering most firearms are in the 150 decibel range.

  • also elephants can make a deep guttural sound. objects cant break up the sound waves so they can be heard for up to 100 miles by other elephants

  • I think you need to check your decibel facts a little more. A rock concert is aat about 120 dB, thus saying that the bat is 100 times louder means that either the bat's sound is at 1200 dB or that you can't hear a rock concert because it's at only 1.2 dB.

  • @marphi2 Decibels aren't measured on a linear scale; it's logarithmic. An increase of 10 decibels is approximately double the loudness. Thus, a 20 decibel increase represents a doubling of loudness twice. 10*10=100. If you've ever fired a .223 rifle with a muzzle brake, it sounds insanely loud, yet it is approximately 160 decibels.

  • @StoneSlinger0oo0 I see. Well, thanks for the information! :)

  • "the 'giggle' can be heard from 8 miles away" thats just creppy lol

  • wait so how many miles away can you hear the pistol shrimp?

  • Wonderful videos, mate! Please make more!

One question: Is that the same shrimp that hits its prey (usually a snail) until its shell cracks open? I watched a show about such a shrimp on TED.

Finally, your English is actually just fine: we can understand it, which is all that matters, and it's not overwhelmingly difficult to decipher. I've seen much worse from people who speak only English!

  • Thanks =). tiger pistol shrimp is very famous because of its ability to produce loud sound. yes, it can emit an enormously powerful wave of bubbles capable of stunning larger fish, breaking snail's shells and even breaking small glass jars

  • @leoapp1223 im a girl could you make top 10 preditors

  • @leoapp1223 number 1 loudest animal is JUSTIN BIEBER

  • loser

  • @cliffwalkinfool My dude I think your thinking of a Mantis Shrimp just saying

  • shit video

  • thanx....very informative

  • That was the most hidious music I ever heard. Seriously, how the heck to people listen to that garbage?

  • @apelove4u Are you serious? haven't you heard of Justine Beiber and rap music, now that's the worst music ever

  • Lets play music instead of letting us hear the animal sounds.....Dumb ass, but thanx for the info.

  • when you say how far it can be heard from do they test in a deserted place where theres no noise?

  • nah dude. obviously you never met Moroccans

  • the loudest animals in the world are niggers lol.

  • blue whales should still #1

  • @megastarwarsrocks99 No, Revolver shrimp or Tiger pistol shrimp is the LOUDEST ANIMAL.

  • The reason why the blue whale and shrimp sounds can be heard from long distances because sound travels 3 times faster in water.

  • @heywatchadoin1 No, shrimp can't be heard from 3 miles. It fires off imploding bubbles making 7000 Celsius degrees and a loud blast on the target which gets affected by the implosion and surrounding.

  • Attrocious spelling mate, otherwise not too bad.

  • sorry, I'm from Indonesia, English is not my language ;p

  • thumb down for the music and not putting the noise they make

  • cos you can find the videos about some of them on youtube, especially pistol shrimp.

  • I heard when that shrimp screams its sound, it creates a air bouble hotter then vocnic magma. is this true?

  • yes it's true, fortunately, pistol shrimp can only do it under water. imagine if it can make it on land. i think you can find some video about pistol shrimp on youtube

  • @leoapp1223 You're a little wrong, pure magma can be 12000 Celsius, the heat in the bubble reaches 7000 Celsius at average. And since the pistol shrimp "snaps" and creates the bubble of air and heat, it wouldn't make much noise on land cause it implodes at the target, not making direct noise. I have studied the shrimp a little on my own and found out.

  • i guess i used a wrong source ;p, but i read other sources again, so yes you're right, maybe i'm gonna edit it

  • @otamrof13 They don't scream, they "snap" their claws and create a bubble at 7000 Celsius degrees. That is NOT hotter than magma. The bubble is an ultrasonic air blast which implodes at the target.

  • wow my best friend partrick dident belive me when I told him about the srmip being the loadest animal also I'm 10

  • you say humans can only hear 120-130 Db. LOL my stereo system in my car hits 158 Db and it doesn't hurt me, and i have been bumping that stereo system for about 8 months almost every day. So before you say something get your facts straight (2 kove Armageddon 15" subs powered by 2 hifonics Brutus Mono block 2000 watt Class D amps with 2 1.5 farad capacitors)

  • @xxyoung1xx1 Your hearing must fucking suck then when people are trying to talk to you.

  • I love Hyenas! They always laugh like idiots, which makes them evil. And I love supervilains!

  • lol the bulldog bat is three animals put together :P

    nice work though

  • nice job my friend...some men gonna say..hey you didnt put my wife in the list

  • thx for watching =), i'm not married yet, so i didn't think to include 'wife' in the list ;p

  • i think his videos are really good. well done you can you try and include humans in some your videos.

  • thx for watching my vids =)

  • I got a question... this guy is trying to be informative and all you people can seem to do is try to trash talk his english or try to prove him wrong. Just shut up and enjoy the video, I personally appreciate these and am finding them very interesting.

    Thanks for making these.

  • it's ok, my English is pretty bad ;p cos I'm from Indonesia so English is not my speaking language, but i've tried to give informations from some accurate sources. thanks =)

  • @patrickskewl not to be a dick but thats nota question :)

  • wow i didnt know that thank u

  • thx for watching =)

  • Is that why there no almost no footage of blue whales? Cause if a diver would swim with them he wouldn't have any ears left after he's done?

  • I think Sperm whale should be second.

  • blue whales have proved to have loudest sound than sperm whale. but sperm whales also produce loud sound. i only put 1 representation for whales

  • @ 3:20 "as well the loudest living animal" um I'm pretty sure dead animals cant make noise.

  • @Prickachoo haha

  • 'living' here means living animal not extinct animal

  • Yeah shrimp with a gun. no bullet required.

  • good one man, but i wonder how they test pistol shrimps sound.?

  • i'm sure you can find some videos about pistols shrimp on youtube.

  • fuck it im stealin the bird teach it to be so loud rtarded animals xD

  • i dont get it wheres my mother on this list

  • time fore more more videos and less slideshows with pop songs on youtube in my opinion.

  • Tiger pistol shrimp won't beat the kids on the back of my afternoon bus

  • @MamaLuigiXYZ My bus is the same. But most of the kids in there are my friends and there from my Class. Theres 8 kids on there. All of them were in my class

  • @MamaLuigiXYZ How loud are those kids ?

    Fast reply.

  • WHATT?? WHAT DID YOU SAY??!

  • heres some info leoapp1223,replace the comma with a dot.

  • You have good taste in music

  • that pistol shrimp is loud i caut one put it in a water tank it brock the glass from the inside and water was on the floor it died because it couldent breath xD

  • this is not true about the number 1 tiger pistol shrimp..i search for the wikipedia the gat no info for it, and later i search another life behavior of the TPS...all about it is that it has a gobby spices tht goes about with it...and when it wanna hunt for its prey..it only attack in a weird way, by opening its claw and when try to close it something like gunshit from the claw attack the shrimp prey....so try again with your research man

  • @tsample007 He are right about nr 1. When a pistol shrimp "shoot" hes pray the "gunshot" is as hot as the surface of the sun. Look in the sidebar and look at the video of the pistol shrimp

  • im sorry but how the fuck can u say u can hear a whale noise 500 miles away!?? so technically i should b able to hear one now?

  • @BonjourGorgeous Then you are floating in a boat on sea because whales are far down and far out in the ocean

  • @BonjourGorgeous i still dont buy it, 500 hundred mile is a hell of a long way!

  • @BonjourGorgeous Well is it more believable to know that sound travels about 4 times faster in water than in air? So maybe about.. 125 miles away if the blue whale was on land. But still, it is a far distance, yes.

  • @LiiChinHo 4x faster? i dint know that, but does that mean it travels 4x further?

  • @BonjourGorgeous ohrite. Well if it is still 500miles flat, that's pretty darn good. Go whales.

  • i see you left out diablos...

  • instead of a rock song put the animal sounds!

  • i think you can search some of their sounds on youtube

  • number 1 is a lie

  • believe it or not. it's real try searching tiger pistol shrimp on youtube, there are some vids about it

  • OMG at 0:56 tht kakapo is sooooo cute i just want to steal it nice vid

  • Don't steal them. Kakapos are critically endangered, less than 100 specimens alive ;/

  • RUINED BY SHIT MUSIC FUCKING TARD

  • @hippotoast AND YOU THINK YOUR MUSIC IS THE BOMB, WHY DONT YOU PUT A VIDEO ON WITH YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC AND LETS SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE LIKE IT?

  • @hippotoast Silent, you moron.

  • @hippotoast You sir are a moron

  • Here's what happens when Tiger pistol shrimp fires of it's bubble of destruction and noise pollution: The shrimp sees it's prey, and "snaps", then the bubble fires. The bubble implodes causing an extreme implosion of sound and heat that brutally kills the prey. Then the shrimp comes out of its hiding-place and eats.

  • @ZnakeLover HOW COOL IS THAT.

  • @sherryblasavage8246 Pretty cool!

  • Woa a fucking shrimp ?? XD

  • hahaha, howlers ... they throw crap at intruders as a defence mechanism ... jokes animal! btw, that shrimp doesn't make a sound ... it can smash rocks and shells with its pincers (which have a sort of spring-like firing system which sends something which is much heavier than a bullet, faster than a bullet!!) that's where the sound comes from, mental!

  • Awesome video man!

  • wow.. very informativ video.. i have seen many of your video leoapp1223.. thx for such a great upload..

  • thx for watching my vids ;)

  • @leoapp1223 Oh bro.. its ma pleasure.. :)

  • dude.... GRAMMAR... seriously...

  • sorry, English is not my native language ;p

  • @leoapp1223 alright that makes sense.

  • wat century is this? i havent seen the oder animals before...

  • YEAH i love the tiger pistol shrimp my second fav animal first is the grey wolf and i was happy to see that too

  • Nice one !

  • on animal planet i saw an shirmp thats sound can break glass.

  • @spyroandshadowrule thats probably the Tiger Pistol Shrimp which is number one on this video.

  • screwyounikki. in/?id=9h0m7pi20qebngns2sfuvvrn7d1ti6 .. watch that link lol :D support me xD

  • How are decibels scaled? Is it similar to the Richter scale? Because Rock concerts are around 115-125dB, how is 137 dB 100x louder? Is 20 dB increase our perception of the noise by that much?

  • decibels scale is logarithmic. i'm sure you've studied about it at high school. honestly i forget about it

  • @Corfal 10 dB is eqaul to double the amount of noise, so its maybe not 10x but its still alot louder

  • very good video ! very informative

  • thx for watching ;)

  • uh che strani! :-D lol

  • Damn cicadas, they are freaking loud right next to my house, but the kakapos are not too bad.

  • How many miles or feet can the Tiger Pistol Shrimp be heard?

  • lucky for us, its habitat is under the deep sea and it can only make loud sound under the sea, so we can't hear their sound, cos water reduces the loudness of their sound. if not, we may be deaf. but with tools to measure sound loudness, the sound has been proved extremely loud. but we can still hear sperm whales sound cos they sometimes jump outside the ocean while making sound.

  • you should've also said when it blows a pocket of air the heat is actually hotter than the sufferface of teh sun... its true

  • the pistol shrimp is like a pistol it open its hand like it re loading and there will be a air in the small hole in its hand and when the shrimp close it hand there will be a sonic wave coming out of it and it can destroy a submarine and the air coming out of it hand is hoter than the sun's surface

  • It can't crush a submarine, that's a lie. It can't crush prey larger than 10 cm. But, it's the impact that is so loud and hot.

  • it say in BBCWorldwide it can crash a sub dont blame me

  • Oh well, don't believe everything you see on TV. It CAN'T crush a submarine. If it could, and you had one for pet it would crush your whole house after a while.

  • cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • says it can disrupt the sound waves of a submarine not crash it

  • oh =_=

  • Only some centimeters. The sound is in the bubble. When the bubble pops the sound will surround the prey and kill it. It can't kill humans, but for example, small shrimps.

  • @ZnakeLover It dosent kill the pray it just stunned it and i dont think any human have tested this

  • More than 1 second, and it would start to burn.

  • @iwflm33, yes it causes an implosion that makes an extreme heat for about 1 nano second. That makes it possible to kill small animals like other shrimps.

  • The Pistol Shrimp when it snaps it's claw shut it blasts a bubble that is as hot as the sun about 8,500 degrees farenheit!!! that's one bubble you don't want to touch!!!

  • How about the Alligator well it's not that loud but it has noises that us humans sometimes can't hear like the elephant's infersonic rumbles.

  • Hey, how come my mom isnt in this?!?! :O

  • im on number ten and i bet u hyena is last

  • i thought pig screams go up to 146 db o.o

  • I would have liked to have heard the sounds

  • i belive!

  • @JimmyTheKiller

    No! His english is good!

  • @HabboBear1 his english is WELL

  • @JimmyTheKiller yes HabboBear1 is right!

  • Whale:im teh loudest in the ocean so hah!!! :P

    Bug:>.> *chitters its claws*

Whale:yep im the be-wat the fruck was that noise?

Bug:see you a losa and im a winna haha!!!-wait wah no your the one who ate my cousin?NAOOOOOOOOOOo

Whale:*chomp*ehh its like nothing happned :D

  • erotic whale :D

  • What about a male sperm whale?

  • i didn't put sperm whale cos blue whale already on this list, i just choose 1 representation for whale. but sperm whale will rank under sperm whale.

  • can we hear their sounds??

  • yes but not all, most of them are super high pitch. human's hearing ability is limited. we can't hear super hight picth sound

  • pistol shrimp can break the acquarium.

  • for the lion my dad can prove it he works at
