  • wow you're a great player and great sounding guitar too.

What model is your Kasuga ? I have found a G-120 i can get cheaper than a chinese budget guitar, do you know that model (G-120)

  • Martin you really have to give a guitar lesson on your song, I really need to play this,I love your catchy tune.

  • amazing! what was the name of the first piece that you played?

  • @piruz87 Thanks!

The first piece was a new idea I never continued working on... But maybe now I will!

  • @pinofluvius can you tell me what key its played in? its sounds really good! i think you should continue working on it! :)

  • @piruz87 Hmm, I play it in "A form" but with a capo at the 2nd fret, so I´m in B major.

  • @piruz87 thank you man! keep up the great work!

  • Martin,What is the Name of the first Song you are playing ,I love the way you play it ,and i have heard that before .

  • @schiffnhauser The first song was a new idea I never continued working on... But it may sound like something else..?

  • Dear Martin.

I fell in love as I heard the sound of your guitar.

The last one was so nice.

You wrote that or you just learnt and showed us?

If you have, you can send me the tab?

    ogergo(@@)vnet.hu

No matter what the style, your playing leaves me in awe of your talent.

  • what is this mike for the guitar ??? thank you

thank you for this video - it helped me a lot.

    :-) LA

  • Hi I have similar guitar and mic but I couldn't fix it because the strap that came with the mic I cannot use it because I don't have the strap nails on my guitar

do you have any solution? thanks

  • wow man, this is incredible.. this is precisely what the sort of thing i'm aiming for.. this is gorgeous!! you reckon you could link me a site selling the sheet music for the first one, or even all of them if it's not too much trouble. also, i know this is asking allot, but i'm getting a new guitar, and i'm not entirely sure what to go for. it's only my 4th guitar, so i won't spend much, but what i get will hopefully take me through grade 7 and onwards to uni!! (£300-400)

    thanks.

  • @salad12345 ps, i have done allot of research and, i feel as though solid cedar wood would best suit my playing.. but, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

  • Actually you should be on a Jeff Beck Album :)

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome tone, awesome technique!

  • Eps!

  • what the fuck...some of the best shit i seen my entire lIFE. i wasnt expectin that. You are beyond good at what you do man..Keep it up.

  • Hej. Otroligt bra spelat. :)

    Gillar ditt gitarrspel!

    /Joar

  • Your first tune that you played should be an actual song.

    It sounds wonderful!

    :D

  • I cant find an expletive that hasn't already been used! so ill settle for "Jaw dropping".

    All the best

  • you have left me stearing at the screen...

  • Martin, fantastic playing as usual...I 've come to expect nothing less...where can we get more info on the pickup??

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • @fuciledacaccia

    Thanks Michael!

Check the video info, there is a link to their website!

  • Hey Martin, wonderful, you got some unbelievable tekkers!

Did you play the Spanish Romance with apayando? Or is it all tirando?

    Cheerz!

  • @sa7sul

    Thanks man!

I play the Romance here using apayando for my ring finger, and tirando for index and middle. I guess that way of playing it might be a bit influenced by flamenco guitar as well..?

  • nice solea!!!!!

  • @toranuguitars

Thank you, but I think real flamenco guitarists would find it utterly sloppy!!! :)

  • That's about the most natural sounding pickup I've ever heard. Amazing.

    Zane

  • @zacharron

Hey Zane, I agree! Also, this Model 2 is quite a piece of work, easy to move around as well.

  • i wish i could get guitarlessons from you

  • Hej Martin,

WOW! That was some awesome playing! I KNEW you had some Spanish blood in you! :-) (and I saw the new beard!) Welcome to the Club.

I Svenska kronor, hur mycket kostar denna Miniflex?

    Per-Olov

  • @AndanteLargo

    Hi Per-Olov, thank you!

The beard is gone again - one day I had to leave the house to meet some real life people :)

    MVH/ Martin

  • That first piece gives me chills! Beautiful work as always Martin!

  • @theguitfiddle

Thank you, I will work on turning it in to whole song!

  • wow..I love the sound..This pickup setup is amazing..Did you purchase their package of an under sound hole placement and a outside pickup so you have different options..I'm sold......Gman from Dallas

  • @guitarman0154

    Hi Gman,

Do you mean the package with both the Model 1 and Model 2? Well, I got them separately, but I now have both. The Model 1 I have permanently installed in my Loef dreadnought guitar, the Model 2 I will use for the nylon, and possibly others, in live situations where I´m required to play different styles/ tunings.

  • Complimenti !

    ***************

  • Wow !

    I love your playing!

    5 *s from Austria !

    best regards,

    wolfgang

  • @Vreci

Thank you Wolfgang, same to you!

    Regards

    Martin

  • Martin, I love your playing, your feeling, and thanks you for the demonstration of the miniflex models. I think I've decided to get the miniflex 2mic model 2, since I can put it in any guitar that comes along.

  • Great sound and Great Maestro :-)))

  • WOW... RECORD MORE OF THAT FLAMENCO STUFF MAN!...

Put that setup in a REAL flamenco guitar and show us what yer HIDING Martin =) DAGGUM!!!

    FANTASTIC!

  • @dejablueguitar complete agree!!!

    Make more flamenco videos!!!!!

  • you belong among the guitar greats

  • you're sooo good, I love listening to this.

  • Martin: my comments does not seem to come tru.. I tried x times allready..

    Pascal.

  • Dear Martin... even your "tryouts* are Gems here... And I am utterly flabbergasted with your Spanish Blues technique! I live in Spain, as you know, and have seen more than one Flamenco player here in my life.... you pull it of remarkably well...first time you try that, I guess! ? ;)

    "¡¡Que duende..que Duende!!" Olè!

    Pascal

  • @Qpidon

Hey Pascal, thanks! It seems you comments got through eventually, I have noticed that problem as well.

Well, 10-15 years ago I was really into trying to learn some flamenco techniques, I find the sound so fascinating. But the art is by definition very difficult to pull off and I was just too intrigued by other guitar styles to "keep at it". But, somehow, some of the stuff has stuck :)

However, this above little piece is what was left after an hour of videotaping, ha ha

    Olé!

    Martin

  • excellent Martin ! ;-)

  • great sound and great play!!

    *****(5stars!)

  • Martin, Stunning fine work. Particularly the flamenco piece. I saw Sabicas a few times over 50 years ago and this is better than anything I've seen.

  • sounds great! got a question though...what is flemenco? i understand its a certain style of playing but so i can get a better idea...what time do you start playing that tequnique? i just got a new intrument mic with a condenser mic and i want to start experimenting with more acoustic styles!

  • Flamenco starts at 0:55 and is totally awesome.

  • @1997Fiddle Is it just basically chords with with a flicking/fast finger picking style?

  • please tab the first tune pleeeeeeeaaaaaaase i lurves it so much!!!!!! gwan gwan gwan!!!!!! pleaaaaaaase!!!

  • Bravo

  • at 1:44

sound almost exactly like "spanish romance"

  • @enemyofall67

Yes, it is the Spanish Romance!

  • Very interesting recording technique. Sounds very promising. x

  • @Dracapalley

Yeah, although this is mainly intended for live use - I am very picky about the sound being natural... otherwise my inspiration just disappears :)

Ljuvligt... miniflex all the way.

  • great sound

  • I was hoping you would demo a nylon string guitar with this mic. Now let's see if I can resist the temptation to by one. I have drawers full of electronic stuff I no longer use. But this doodad could be worth the risk.

  • That's cool. Didn't know you had some flamenco chops... awesome.

  • @onelegkickboxer

Thanks mate. Well, about 15 years ago I was playing almost only Spanish style guitar. Took some flamenco lessons and had plans on going to Spain to study. However, I´m way too restless and too much in love with many other styles so that never materialized...

  • Totally understand. I love all sorts of guitar styles also and keep make up my mind to fully commit to one.

  • I'm convinced ! That's the mic I want . It will not give me your fantastic technic but the sound is really great. Thanks Martin for this Demo, with a D caps ! Fred

  • harrrr, great feeling and the guitar sounds amazing...

I'm sure you'd have a lot of fun by playing some more spanish pieces ... some with a bit wilder temperament than Ramanza ;-)

  • You are awsome.:)

  • Sounds really good, Martin! A fine recording option I think. In my last videos I used a pair of Rode NT5 and a Rode NT2A and I'm really satisfied with the result. The only problem I have is that they pick up every noise I make, every squeak of the strings or rubbing on the top of the guitar or neck. Well, it's a matter of technique but maybe the inbuilt Miniflex mic does not reproduce every outside noise. Do you have some experience with that?

    Cheers,

    Bernd

  • @BoeckmannLudwig

I does not seem this one picks up that much "noise". The Model 1, which I have installed in the Loef, has one of the mics located under the bridge. I noticed I should point that mic (on a gooseneck) away from the bridge - otherwise you could hear my palm moving across the bridge saddle when doing my beloved palm mutings :)

The gooseneck design really opens up for experimentation, although the placement of the mics doesn´t seem that crucial.

  • @pinofluvius

    Thanks for the feedback, Martin!

  • @BoeckmannLudwig I hope it is ok that I share my view on this. The fact that the mic picks up the surroundings may seem like a major problem, but it is not. The solution to fix this problem lies in the way you set the input level on your recording device. I strongly recommend using headphones while you record to find that sweet spot and to find a setting and placement that you find satisfactory to your ears. Very important. Adjust the peak level so it only starts clipping and turn it down a bit.

  • @fridrikur

    Hi Fridrkur,

many thanks for sharing your experience.

    I will try next time.

    Cheers,

    Bernd

  • Your guitar's tecnic is very great, and good sound!

    See yoU

  • Grate vid! I've got a question. Is it possible to play with this kind of mic in the style of Rodrigo Y Gabriela? I mean - how it sound with drumming effects that Gabriela play?

Sorry for my bad english and please, answere me. :)

  • @RidiculousThought Thanks!

Yes, it would probably work very well, since the mics are "real", so they take up every sound created in and around the "box" :)

  • works !!!!

nice "harmonic detour" in that version ;-)

  • I like it, it sounds great!

Do you have the Tab or what's the tittle of the fingerstyle song please?

  • @KingJue Sorry, it was something I came up with the other day, I got inspired by the guitar :)

  • Dette låter perfekt. Takk for at du har testet ut denne mikrofonen for oss.

  • beautiful bear, too :-D it seems

  • brilliant!

  • Oh yeah that sounds great!
