So, by looking in the pandorica in the background we can see it's bigger on the inside - it's a ship I'm guessing, a vessel for something. All these villains are here because they want to settle the score with him I guess, which is why they're dragging him inside - maybe to be locked inside forever. All these little messages/cracks that keep popping up are obviously set after the Doctor is taken into the Pandorica - they're there to re-write the history by giving the Doctor a message.

Now, concerning his return in Pandorica, it's very clearly Amy's imagination that created him.

@Runtherd rory died but was absorbed ito the crach thats why in the finale all the monsters are returning at once cos the pandorica (cracks) opens so everyone comes out the crack with different knoledge. episod there was a crack some 1 returns from that episode episode 3 daleks come bak cos the crack woul have pulled there ship into it and rory also and so on . . . .
