I've never seen a model break up in into as many pieces as this one. Hate to say it but that shit was teriffic. Sorry bout the plane, but the motor seemed like it survived it pretty well. just need a plane now that isnt so bad considering the motor was in one piece.
For the record, this guy is one of the Elite jet turbine pilots @ Kickapoo RC Field. With hundreds of successful jet flights logged , D.Woods flies in company with Lewis Patton and other well known turbine pilots. D.Woods is also known for his (some would say) Radical views on RC safety. So, just to be clear this was an isolated incident that rarely happens @ Chicago Model Masters - Kickapoo Woods RC field. check out .CHICAGOMODELMASTERS. at 1:12 u see a sonic boom around the plane,then flap breaks off at 1:13 to 1:14.Weird since not at speed of sound?
