I get off work a little after midnight and I always have lights go out. Sometimes three lamps on the same side of the street will go out in order as I pass under them. I car pool with a co worker and he thought I was crazy at first. But sees it for his self now and trips out when it happens

I learned how to control that with metal anckle bands, but I have so much charge I can turn of tvs from about 30 ft and make people feel sad or happy when I direct at them.=) it sucks though.

Sorry to announce to are completely wrong, list any one of these "phenomenons" and I can tell you exactly what caused it. Take the street lights for example, the reason they cycle is because the lamp (bulb) is old and needs to be replaced, that is a well known fact in the street lighting industry.

I did call the utility department later and asked them to check this streetlamp and their records. The bulb was about a month old (shoots your declaration that it was old). They did check it, absolutely nothing wrong with it. So, you're explanation is wrong. Bulb did not need to be replaced.

I have the streetlights do that, I can raise or lower my body temp, Raise temp in my immediate area in a room, put out a flame in a windless room by willing it to. Sounds crazy I know. Last thing my father said to me before he died some days later was: "Doubt nothing, try everything."

@superstormj You should keep a journal and do a very scientific evaluation of what you do. Have some friends around, too. Make videos. It's only after people start documenting them doing these things that disbelievers will believe. Creating a journal of what you do could be very valuable. And do it using the scientific method. I just posted about this in another video, then i searced about it just now and you kinda freaked me out! This used to happen to me all the time, I seem to have outgrown it. But the part that freaked me out is the legally dead part! I drowned when I was 6 and I was clinically dead. I had been underwater for 6 minutes, Thankfully my mom was a respiratory therapist and revived me. Do you really think that there could be a link between these things?

This used to happen a lot when I was a kid. I had to actually demonstrate the SLI effect to some friends about 13 years ago because they just wouldn't believe it. There was a specific lamp that did it, every single time.

I still can't wear a watch and I have really bad "luck" with cellphones, the battery is ruined after a few weeks of usage. At least my DS works no problem lol

yvette you do realize that a reason you could not be able to wear watches and they die isnt because of anything electrical but because you have a high content of iron present in your blood. It is for that very reason I can not wear watches the high level iron causes it to magnetise parts in the watch making it inoperable.

Didn't say it was "because" I died. Said that a lot of people who have died have had this problem. There must be some common factor. High iron content might be a logical explanation. I don't think any of it is supernatural, etc. I think there will eventually be logical, scientific, explanations for all of it. But, lead in itself isn't magnetized, especially the lead in your blood. But, my lead levels have always been normal.

Maybe the photocell on the streetlight gone bad and didn't turn off the lamp at the sunrise. Actually it's a quite common problem with streetlights driven by individual photocells (one per lantern), when these are damaged the streetlights don't turn on at night or remain lit on morning...

This was not taken at sunrise. It was taken late morning. The streetlamp was on when I walked onto the bridge. It went off when I was standing under it. It's the only streetlamp that's off, and went off when I was standing under it. When I drove back by a few hours later it was back on.

Again, I do not ascribe this to supernatural events or psychic phenomena. I don't think it's any "mysterious power" either. Our bodies are all electrical in a sense. Some more so than others.

Yes, our body uses electrical signals to communicate with muscles via the nervous system, but these signals aren't strong enough to interfere with a thing like a streetlight. Voltages and currents involved in streetlighting are far higher than the ones in our body. And a photocell which goes messy or damaged switches/wiring/ballast which behave erratically due to vibrations, short circuits, component aging or temperature changes are a common source of problems in a streetlight.

I forgot to mention that some types of lamps used in streetlighting (especially high pressure sodium, which have gold-yellow coloured light) at the end of their life starts to "cycle" (which means that them turn off and on repeatedly) 'cause the ballast cannot sustain the arc in the exhausted lamp when this comes to the operating temperature. So the lamp shuts itself off, cools down for some minutes, and when it's cooled down enough the ballast restrikes the lamp until the cycle repeats.

This was not a case of a light burning out. Nor, in any of the other times it has happened to me has that been the case. Whenever I suspected this, I would call the utility for that area and check to see if the lamp had been replaced or if there had been any other reports of malfunction. I tend to be a skeptic and try to eliminate the obvious first.

But here we are talking about streetlights. Relatively simple things built by human, which works with levels of current thousant times higer than the levels which are in our bodies. Trust me, malfunctioning or burning of street lights it's a very frequent event. We are talking about ELECTRIC things that remain lit for hours in every atmospheric condition, at high lamp and ballast temperatures, and which are present in thousands in our cities. (to be continued...)

The probability to walk under a damaged streetlight it's quite high, and with a such quantity of streetlights to keep under control, it's normal that sometimes a damaged streetlight escapes the control of the citiy's utility.

Just for your information: I collect lamps and streetlights until I was 8, I studied these things and their inner working to their guts, I ever built myself some fixtures which uses discharge lamps, so I know what I'm talking about. (to be continued...)

Surely there are things that we don't yet understand, surely there are a lot of mysteries that have to be discovered, maybe in the far future we'll be able to control things with our minds, when our evolution will allow this (I hope). I'm not telling that we know everything. But misteries are far away from a streetlight which behaves strangely, with all the factors I mentioned before (vibrations, temperatures, humidity, component aging, etc...) that can influence it's working.

Statistically I have a better chance of winning lotteries over and over than having streetlamps go out as frequently as they do with me. Or, with others who have written to me with similar occurrences.

It is quite possibly something other than electricity affecting the streetlamps. So, the amps/watts/volts are irrelevant.

I can't wear a watch. They die. ALL watches. I borrowed a friend's self-winding Rolex once and it died. Rolex couldn't fix it and finally gave her a new one.

When I was a kid I had to sit near the tv and hold the rabbit ears so that we'd get good reception.

In school if an event over the radio was going to be broadcast over the PA I had to come down and put my hand on the radio to get good reception.

And its behaviour when not working properly it's very well known to fool people making them believing that they are influencing the lamp. Its normal that holding the TV or radio antenna with your hands you improve its reception, because our body, as being a fairly good conductor of electricity, catches RF waves exactely as an antenna does. This works with all people (even with me), not only with you. When I was a kid and the school had to broadcast something from a radio I was called to the principal's office so I could put my hand on top the radio so we'd have decent reception.

At home I had to sit up next to the television and hold the rabbit ear antennas (obviously before cable) so instead of snow we'd have a television picture.

I won't accept it because it isn't in the least bit logical, and is completely wrong. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the lamp. I checked the following Monday with the utility department. It was working perfectly. As I said the lamp went on while I was standing under it. When I went back later, it was the same as the other lights. I checked again at night and it was working the same as the other lights.

I videoed a streetlight actually going off with me standing under it, while no other streetlights around the area went off. But it's possible to cause ESD damage remotely, without actually touching the circuit boards or electric parts.

Interesting explanation. BTW I have intuitively fixed machines all my life. As a little kid people in the neighborhood brought me their broken clocks to fix. My Grandpa had a vending machine/jukebox business and I fixed them for him. Though he did start teaching me how when I was 10. By the time I was 12 I did all the repair work on his vending machines and jukeboxes (don't worry, he paid me very well for it). Still take things apart and put the back together, usually with no parts left over.

This has happened to me a LOT of times. I mostly turn OFF the lights as I drive by them or walk under them rather than turn them on. Today after lunch (McDonalds :)) A power transformer popped and shot smoke just as I got in my car... I really wish I can find more on this.

I am one also. Have been for about 15 years now. I believe I do not make the lights go on or off. I just notice them more than others.

When 3-5 lights go out on a 20 minute drive it does make me curious but I still believe its just im more aware of these things
