His point about loosing elections is that people aren't voting for republicans because they don't like what republicans are doing. Huckabee basically says it doesn't matter if American voters don't like what Republicans are doing, they should do it anyways. 70% of Iragis say they feel less safe with American troops there.

About half as many -- 28 percent -- said they would feel more safe." Wisdom says we need more than 3 of ten people to feel like their country is safe, don't ya think?

Iraq will not be safe as long as Americans forces continue to give jihadist targets to attack. Overall that's 80% of the people who really don't want us there. The entire population wants us out eventually.
