wen buying sand, if you want the sand from Petsmart try to buy it on sale becuz its very expensive at $25 for a 25lb bag, but if your too impatient, like me go to a home improvement store the sands there are around $10 or $15 cheaper but it may require a litle cleaning as duz all sand. try to find sand and driftwood at your lfs too as it may also be cheaper than Petsmart. also try some large river rocks its funy watching a snail try to get on to one hesitating and trying to find another way on.
you're very consistent about the paint huh lol well i see what you're talking about. I'm thinking about making this tank a more "natural" tank with real wood and real sand rather than painted gravel...it's something i've really been wanting to do, but in the mean time, i think they'll be alright
not too big, its shell is currently about 1.5 inches. these guys will max out at 2.5 inches, so they are pretty small snails when compared to something like an Apple Snail...but they are still great snails lol and they constantly are looking around for algae
how long did it take for it to come out of it's shell when you got it?

How many tanks do you have? Or are they all in the one tank. I am getting a 55 gallon and still trying to figure out what to put in it.
