No, not in this video. If you want to see me play as host, click the top-right annotation in this vid ("1v4 Shotty"). It's a clip from another vid ("GoW3 Kill Highlights (36-8 on Trenches)") in which I DID have a host connection. Compare and contrast.

Also, like I told heckmayster2, go to 0:35, 1:02, and especially 1:58 on this vid. You can see my character's camera-pan lag. This is not a characteristic of host-connection.

I post videos with good "highlights". The fact that such clips are disproportionately supplied by matches against not-so-great players (as opposed to pro-button-pushers) shouldn't come as a surprise. This isn't a place for gamebattles. I do this for fun, not to cater to your ideas about what "good" players upload.

Other than compensating for low self-esteems, I don't understand why people post comments like yours.

@heckmayster2 Dude, this match was recorded less than 2 days after game's release. If I'm not mistaken, there was no such thing as "host advantage" then. Connections were better for EVERYBODY as the dedicated servers weren't stressed to the degree that they are now because of the recent advent of all the COD kiddies.

If you want to see how I do in laggier conditions, watch "25-5 on Gridlock: Kill Highlights". If you want to see me with a host advantage, I may've had one in "36-8 on Trenches".

@NiNj4xNUTZz first of all ... host advantage is always present .. not all servers are dedicated epic lied.. ranked match depends on host i can asure that i played as a host and without host and i can truely say there is great diference even in quick matches this gameplay ur 100% host everybody can see.. and by the way ihav got nothing against u so dont think that im a kid or just jealous

@heckmayster2 I can tell the difference too, friendo. Go to 0:35. As I'm turning to the left you can see some slight breakage in my character's camera-pan. Not exactly a characteristic of host-connection. Go to 1:02. Breakage after abrupt slide-cancellation. Go to 1:58. More breakage as I'm standing still against a wall.

Now go to my vid, "GoW3 1v4 Shotgun"--a clip from a match in which I WAS host--and see that there is no camera breakage whatsoever even while wallbouncing/slide-cancelling.

No. This gameplay was recorded on the second day of release. People were just getting used to the game. Meanwhile, I've been playing Gears since the beginning. It shouldn't be surprising that I was able to do what I did against a mediocre team.

If you want to see something better, watch my later vids ("14-1 on Hotel: Kill Highlights" or "18-3 on Mercy: Kill Highlights"). The one on Hotel was against noobs but I had some good snipes.

In the days of gears 1 i enjoyed 6 months on top of the execution leader boards along with a guy name buck nasty nate. I have yet to adjust to losing due to players on my team going 3-12 in this new TDM. but once again you now have my respect

It's pathetic really. But then again, what's even more pathetic is complaining about da video gamez. Which is what we're doing.

@BrightnessOne Since Gears 1. So about 4+ years on and off. If you want to get better, here's some advice. Watch gameplay videos and try to imitate what the good players are doing.

Oh, that and try to get a feel for the higher sensitivities. And learn to "wall-bounce" effectively. And... lets see here... um...masturbating right before you play is never a bad idea.
