tell you what, i'll let you do the math. Objects in normal earth gravity fall at a rate of 9.8 meters every second of falling. Just time how long it took them to reach the bottom and do the math. You do not indefinetly accelerate though, there is terminal velocity of which you will not acheive anmore speed but this is not high enough to worry about that. Tell what you find. =)
i agree about head vs feet entry! i understand that above a certain height, we'd be silly to do a head entry. so.. all that means is that there's some kind of sensible height limit for diving! i'd rather see an actual "dive", even if it has to be done from a fraction of what is actually a silly height; silly because the height simply causes the diver to change to a jumper! it reminds me of certain classes of guiness world records, before they started clamping down sensibly.
Props to the guys diving, but I'm not a big fan of feet entries. I understand that they are doing feet entries since it's more like cliff diving into a lake. I just prefer the head entries better. They look a lot cooler.
