I just saw the fabulous Odilon Redon Exhibition at the Grand Palais Galeries nationales in Paris. It covers his entire career and many works are borrowed from other museums and are together for the first time. I was not aware later in life he did beautiful interior panels and fabric patterns. Some of the rooms he decorated are recreated at this exhibition. His color work has to be seen to be believed it is often so vibrant. But his dark moody creatures are my favorite. Until June 20 2011.
por lejos el mejor vídeo que he visto. reminds me how deep is our fragility in this cold world. How far we are from the spiritual dreams we ever had. How near are we from solitude and uncertainly and pain...but, a soft light i can feel beneath the music that returns me to the felicity of living, just for livong. Thanks to all who red this words and, my apologies for my weack english.
thank you so very much!!! you've done a great job - the print quality is very good, unlike in some slideshows on youtube (no insult to others, I understand it's difficult) - and the choice is excellent...I think better than in some books I've seen
@savagesamurai well it says on the bottom of the info music by Michael Andrews (from the film Darko I reckon) and Thomas Newman but dont know from wich score . (the man who did American beauty soundtrack and many more astounging music)

The flower pieces, in particular, were much admired by Matisse, and the Surrealists regarded Redon as one of their precursors.

Extraordinaire, and what a choice of music to go with it, thanks for the bio too.
My favourite quote from his book Au soi même, " the artist should be historian to his own souls journey"
Wonderful

As I can see (at 03:06), John Carpenter (in The Thing) was clearly inspired by Redon with this 'head-spider' ...
