I'm a Filipino American who lived in Turkey for several years & honestly, I think Turkish people are okay in general. Yes, I came across a number of dipshits but it seemed more like they didn't like me because they were jealous of me and my good looks.
I had several Turkish friends that I always hung out with and people I met at pool halls & bars I frequented were nice & friendly. My classmates at Atilim University were all cool.
Also, Turkish girls are very cute. I HAD A BLAST IN TURKEY
This movie was the reason, why I did not choose Turkish language, as the secondary foreign language at my university, cause I don't really wanna know what are pigs talking about, do I?

People get so bent out of shape because of how hateful Billy's speech is towards Turks. But think about it. He was just screwed over ROYALLY! I can forgive his xenophobia mainly because I understand how angry he is. He played it cool and still got f-cked. This speech is almost verbatim from the book until Stone puts in the PIG comments against the Turks.
