Performed by Begona on handmade Salterios (crafted by her husband in his workshop in Sevilla, Spain using hand tools) in the chapel of the Monasterio de la Espina in Valladolid, Spain and recorded using nothing but an omni-directional microphone and tape recorder.
The music being played was found stashed in the vaults of the U of Toledo (Spain), and different museums scattered around the country. It took a couple of years to do the research for this album, as it was very difficult to find the historical documentation needed to recreate not only the music of Spain's renaissance, but to also recreate the instruments needed to play the music.
Why? There are not too many Psalters/Harps laying around from the 15th century.
I bought this album in Granada in 2008... this piece is called "Imperairitz" - it's track 7 on the CD. :)

The instruments are faithful reproductions of those played in 13th -15th century Spain.
Begona's husband does the research, and then fashions them using hand tools only.
No "Black and Decker" allowed.
LOL!
