Serious Sam is one of those shooters where you get battles that are so prolonged with huge divisions of incredibly weird enemies, you really are happy when there is a break in the action to assess your health and weapons after it's over. You rarely have a safe-ish spot to pick off enemies and are constantly being ambushed. It'sTHE most imaginative shooter I've ever played.
