@TomFrankSurfs You are very observant Tom. Our most expensive board is currently the Olo of the Sun 19 footer at US$852,000. To put it in perspective that's only a weeks earnings for some people.

Could you use balsa wood to make your own or what?

Yes, the hollow boards are actually quicker to make with balsa, and have a bit more flex they should be ' glassed ' with structural cloth though. We do plans for the hollow boards.

Is that paulownia good for surfboards, or what?

Yeah it has a very high strength to weight ratio and is nearly as light as balsa.

This is great. I think all surfers should try to make a surfboard just to understand the toil and talent that goes into making a surfboard.
