Outstanding acting Michal. I enjoyed every episode with you in it. That's for sure. Probably Omar testifying in Court along with the "Stick ups" (which always made me laugh out loud to be honest) were the parts I was fondest of. Long live Omar Little.
**walks off whistling "Farmer In the Dale"** LOL!!!
And the only time in the entire series that he cursed was when he called Marlo a bitch. Btw..he had a bit part in the Sopranos as the guy who harbored Jackie Jr.
The Wire is absolutely in a league of its own. I've never felt how I feel about this show with ANY other type of media other than maybe music. This series and Omar's character give me goosebumps. The series is literally a Modern Day Masterpiece.
M.K williams is in the new apocalypse movie the road. in it he steals all the main characters stuff and equipment. after the world ends and hes still stealing of people. damn
Yo i feel yall,Michael k is definitley one to watch in the future. He`s really been slept
on though.
Imagine him in a spike lee directed flick!!!!
It would be ill.I sure hope he stays form garbage roles and watch for that try to make a brotha go drag shit Mike.Whitie gon try that one.Stay up bra.Holla
I need to see this brotha in more major roles. too good of an actor. the only thing i saw him in was in the new hulk movie. and that wasnt shit, he was a bystander and was on for like 2 secs, and gone. like, put that nigga as one of the soldiers or somethin.....
"Omar" probably the most interesting television/movie character i have encountered in the last 10-20 years. and every well acted! Michael Williams and The Wire have been overlooked by the "award" show crowd.
Well not exactly, but it just sounds like a remix of "Paid in Full" by Eric B. and Rakim.
Definitely though, the sample for the song is "Ashley's Roachclip" by Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers and is a PHENOMENAL and legendary funk track and breakbeat. Get up on that.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i find mcnulty the most annoying character in the show.....just my opinion they could of found a better actor...his accent was dodgy too....still love the show though
unchie979, If you think that its because McNulty acctually got a strong british accent and is one of the only/very few non-americans on it. But were it not for the cast commentary special features on the season 5 DVD i would never had known. Taking this into consideration I think he's one of the BEST actors i know, hes not my favorite char or anything but he's got very good acting skills. Only other actor i know who's british but puts on an American accent as well as him is Renee Zellweger.
cool.........its not just the accent [although when you hear the british accent come through it pisses me off because it breaks the illusion]..its the actor i wouldve preferred someone else. just my opinion.....................and dude renee zellweger is american not british
he's in a new film coming out so Im told-plays a copper...I hope is true cos I wanna see more of Michael.K.Williams-Omars the best character in the show!
Camdenyardbird great minds think alike. I said something like what you said at the end of your comment. Omar had this code and he lived by the code not by the street or by the money. The police was cloggd up with red-tape, but Omar went right to what he had to do.
I didn't notice it till the second viewing but Kenard was one of the kids torturing the cat in the alley. Makes you think of that dismissive line Omar said last season when he was watching Michael talk to Marlo: "He just a kid." His death mirrors that of Jesse James or Wild Bill Hickock -- fearsome gunslingers gunned down by marginal figures they never would have thought to fear.
Thanks. Some shows, certain characters, ... like people, like art, ... leave a profound impression. They implore us, to think long after the credits have rolled. For me, even now, it was The Wire.
RIP Omar. I knew he was going to die but didn't expect it to be from a head shot delivered like a sucker punch from little Kenard. I was hoping the hunt would continue till the very end. We were watching this season with anticipation for the "High Noon" moment where our hero surprises some combination of Chris, Snoop, Monk and Marlo in a Baltimore alley and dispenses the justice the police can't meter out.
on season five i watch epsid 58 a week in advance he got kiil in a liqt store by a little kid it was some bullshit and it true i got comcast ondemand damn
from season 1 to 5...all, i mean all the characters, have a long promising future in the industry...the suits in hollywood be fools not to tap into this pool of talent called....THE WIRE any1 any1
i here that...but i have seen the Major Colvin on several episodes of fox's PRISONBREAK, Col Daniels is on abc's LOST, McNulty was in 300, Clay Davis was in a couple of commercials, String was in a black directed movie, so you are right/they haven't even scatched the surface of talent avail. in the wire....holla back
They are great actors and David Simons exceptional writing helps. "The Wire" is considered the anti- Hollywood. No hot super models with big mob figures driving luxury cars. Us wire heads don't need that flashy shit cause thats not what counts. Lost is good but could never add up to "The Wire" period.
3 reasons I will always love the Wire...Its like a smart reality show but minus the trashiness and guilt 2.Omar Little, the best outlaw on TV 3.There are no hollywood endings
From a writer's aspect the common choice is to lock up Marlo but to decieve the fans I think that he has to get bodied but it's hard to get to him so what if he does'nt get bodied and Omar testifies against him in the court room and Marlo gets time and then Avon and Marlo team up and call out a hit in jail to get Michael and somebody else to get Omar.
omars not gonna testify cus they not gonna do the same thing twice which also means that they not gonna show a second kingpin get locked up, there gonna show the second alternative which is him dyin
the streets are the best part of this serie

We all knew it was inevitable. And, his death doesn't even warrant making the Sun. The game is the game. Indeed.
