Ismail has been saying/praying to Allah through this whole movie and yet the village is obviously very much Hindu. Is it realistic to have Hindu/Muslim mix in such a small village at the time period of this movie?

@abbykat8 i guess, Muslims are deep rooted into Indian society.

the Mughal empire (which was Muslim) was based in India.

It probably differed from village to village. but many Muslims today are tolerated in Indian society. As we know, Hindu culture has not changed much. they still worship the same way, do not eat beef, practice social hierarchy, etc etc
