  • thumbs up if you had all of those and took them to school for show and tell!

  • Takara Tomy resold those turtles.

  • When I was 8, I saw this commercial and wanted one so bad! Every friday I would head to Walmart with my mom and bug the employees there and ask if the TMNT Mutations came in. Naturally they had no clue what I was talking about. This went on for a couple of weeks. Then one day, either my dad or I called WM and asked if the Mutations were arrived. They said yes, and immediately my dad took me to WM. While there, I had a big decision to make. Which turtle to get? I got Michaelangelo.

  • WTF?! Those toys were never sold in Germany! I DEMAND JUSTICE! FOR FUCKS SAKE!

  • Wow,super!

  • OMG! I had these toys! :D

  • Turtles, transform and roll out.

  • where did the ooze come from i looked in all of the box and it wasnt in there

  • I just got Michaelangelo the other day at The Salvation Army :)

  • This commercial is actually from 1992.

  • I really want those turtles

  • I have one of them. Donatello I think.

  • @dafedux your right they were

  • I got mikey as a mutation toy

  • i used to have donatello, sigh good times

  • had em

  • I like Barry Gordon and Rob Paulsen.

  • I think I can guess why bebop was white for this toy. This was because they were worried that if he has been black, young kids who hadn't met any black people yet would begin to think black people might be evil people. Which like in the classic show baxter stockman was white instead of how he was originally black in the comic series.

  • My splinter toy break like the day after I got it. it wasn't a very solid toy at all

  • I remember when i got leonardos mutation toy :D

i dont know what happen to it :/

  • how does it make for a man to step in the green slime and arbitrary mutate into a anthropomorphic wild boar man? and he's wearing boots, his skin didn't make contact with the ooze. What? did it seep through his boots and proceed to mutate his body from the feet up?

  • That commercial looked really good for being 20 years old

  • This is one thing I've hated: When they made Bebop for this collection, he looked white. WTF?! Everyone knows on the cartoon he was skinny and black. Rocksteady was white with a Moe haircut.

  • I only had Don and Raph, but only one of them stayed with me. It's such a shame how many toys I no longer own.

  • kick ass

  • o any die hard TMNT fans, I'm selling 38 still in it's package TMNT action figures on ebay. It ends on april 27

Here's my ebay item # (280493500999)<----- just copy and paste the number in the search box

  • I remember this commercial and the "In a minute," bumper in the beginning on the USA network.

  • I had these as a kid. I had a lot of toys.

Yes those damn Power rangers too.

  • how did they turn into ninjas?

  • long story short.. ninja from japan goes to usa, gets a couple of mutant turtles by mistake..

  • thnx but wats the point of the green slime stuff in the commercial

  • The "slime stuff" (called Ooze on the show) was the substance that transformed the baby turtles into human-sized mutants.

  • @icebreakersix1nine You're kidding right?

  • @sevensixtwomm well i dont watch tmnt

  • @icebreakersix1nine Ha, fair enough :)

  • Splinter passed on his masters arts and ninjitsu skills to them.(comic) or by the cartoon, Splinter a master ninja taught them all of his arts.

  • For some reason, I can imagine Chester A. Bum doing the extreme voice in this commercial.

  • I agree

  • @CaptainTooner

"OOOH MY GOD! THIS IS THE GREATEST TOY LINE I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!"

  • @CaptainTooner

I thought the same thing lol

  • Hey, Bebop was a black guy!

  • @Thunderholt2 And Skinny

  • @Thunderholt2 Toys Dont LIE! :D

  • i had all of these shown. always wondered why the ones you got in the box werent painted aswell as the ones avertised... :S

  • Ha I had these toys. I had the foot soldier one too, that turned into a robot.

  • I begged my parents for a ninja turtle and they bought me ace the fucking duck, I am still pissed about it 20 yrs later

  • i had the michael angelo one. i remember we begged our mom for it, Can u still by these?

  • omg i had these

  • dude that voice actor is soo tom kenny

  • My fav. action fig storyline for my mutating Bebop was that of a rockstar who was running from the law for killing (and, I guess raping, if I even knew what that was back then) a groupie before Shredder caught him and forced him to mutate.

And to the guy who said Bepob was a black guy.... yeah, he was a black dude with a purple mohawk and was just a street thug.

  • and the figure makers probably wanted the change from man to Bebop to be more different cause like... a white guy to a brown bull is more obvious (no offense to African Americans but the color would be too similar)

  • I think they changed his skin color for the same reason they made Baxter a Caucasian guy, they could't have the only African American persons be villains, they could be sued

  • Hmm... sounds quite logical, never knew that about stockman... but human Bebop in the cartoon was black yet.

  • Stockman where African American in the original comic, thats why hes black in the new animated series. Could also be that the paint job was cheaper that way as well.

  • true, prehaps it was cheaper

i know stockman was black originally but actually maybe its true they didnt want people thinking that bebop being black would make him bad. idk... who knows

  • yeah the stockman part was since shredder was harassing him, I guess they forgot shredder was Asian and not Caucasian :P

  • Perhaps in Baxter's case, they knew he'd eventually become Shredder's flunky and it REALLY wouldn't have looked good having a black man calling someone "master", even though every fan knows the Shredder is Japanese.

Not sure what the deal is with making the Bebop toy a white guy though.

  • the guy sounds like nostalgia critic lol

  • i had the leonardo transforming toy and i always noticed he had a scared/worried look on his face.

  • i wanted those this was one of my favorite commercials

  • i have all of them. april transformed into a cheetah...yeah, its fuckin retarded, but its awesome!

  • Cool!!!! I don't think we had these here.

  • I still have a Shredder action figure down in my basement

  • my nephew got the mutation figures from the new TMNT. And whoever made these back in the hey day, must have not watched the cartoon at all - if I recall Bebop was a black guy in his human form.

  • On USA Network. I had Michelangelo. Then eventually Shredder, April O Neal, Toka & Rhazzar, and I might've had a Splinter.

  • LoL why would you get April O'neal?

  • She was one of the more popular figures back in the day.
