From 0-200mph a veyron is faster cause of awd. The veyron also has a full leather interior, power everything, sat nav, air conditioning .ect. which a ssc doesn't have. To me trading all that for only 3mph isn't worth it.

The Veyron is a road car, even has a radio, air con, comfortable seats, small boot etc etc, the build quality is better than the SS Aero, it handles better than the Aero. The time set by the Veyron was 3mph slower, and they had to slow it down......If they wanted to, Bugatti could get rid of all the crap and it would be faster. Dont forget, the record for the Veyron is not an official record, it was done on a TV show

That's a Mk1 Lotus Exige which has 190hp. It's beating Lamborghini Murcielagos. Regardless, I think he jumped on your case in an assinine way. Regardless, I get his point, the Veyron is quite heavy. That Lotus and the McLaren F1 are better examples in my mind. And an Exige S(240 or 260) can beat almost anything under $300k in a straight line and on a track. 28MPG isn't to shabby either.

The power to weight ratio of a bike is much less than a car. So, the acceleration is generally quicker. On the contrary, these cars have alot of HP. Making acceleration at higher speeds invariably faster, because the car has momentum. Over the quarter mile a super bike should win. A super car should pass the bike over a longer duration.

There is a video on YouTube where they race a Moto GP bike, a Formula 1 car & a jet boat. If i remember correctly the bike won, the car came second.
