When you stun someone, they can still see. So basically by the time the effect wears off and you haven't killed them, your most probably fucked. The stun is basically boss only when it has unlimited fuse time. EMP is bullshit, except when taking out equipment. Stuns & Flash disable equipment long enough so you can take it out with a melee. Personally, I think that the Flash Grenade is the best way to go.

You should have mentioned ADSing while stunned. In BO if you were stunned, you could ADS and have your gun centered, making it easier to kill. In MW3, your gun sways when you ADS while stunned.

Don't forget that when you're stun, even if you're slow, the aim assist goes crazy (on the console versions, not on PC) and becomes more of an auto-aim especially with sniper rifles.

It's not necessarily a disadvantage that flash grenades have a fuse time, as opposed to stuns which have to make contact with ground or walls to explode. I use flashbangs in conjunction with recon, so the fuse time makes it incredibly easy to light them up on the radar. Just throw em upward like he did in this video, at the beginning of the match, and bam, most of the other team is painted on your entire team's radar.

I prefer stuns but I don't like that they slowed the prep time on them. In MW2 and Black Ops you could throw stuns much faster. I died so much when I first started playing MW3 because I'm not use to throwing them so slowly. If I'm not using quick draw I don't throw stuns very often anymore....

I use to use stun grenades. But flash bangs with recon is beast. You have a better chance of hitting more enemies by having the flash go off in mid-air as opposed to on the ground where its effects can be blocked by carts/boxes/crates/half-walls etc.
