Nikon is a far better looking camera. the Canon is just too black, the red strike on the D3 breaks up the blackness to make it a much prettier camera. Also, the dials and buttons around each other, with white strikes breaks up the solid look.

I have 2-D3's and just added a D3X. I love the D3 and have gotten amazing shots using the high ISO's ( Jupiter and Moons with Sigma 800mm) Forest fires at night. The D3s is 2 years newer and as expected, more "stuff. My D3x is unblievalbe for the Landscape and portraits. Nothing comes close!
