Oddly, I never feared public speaking but learned to hate it ... because I was pushed into it really young for church and school. I was supposedly that "good" at it. Hate it so much now, I don't ever appear on film anymore either. But shhh, don't tell my fans (what few I have) that's why I only use CGI for "me" .... I want to hold a contest to see what rumors will start about it if I ever become as popular as you are.

Another thing that drives me NUTS is listening to someone um during their speaking. If someone's just awful and umming constantly, I give up on listening to their message and start counting their ums! ... Tragic.

BTW, I totally attribute speaking in church (since primary! ;D) to my confidence in public speaking. What great opportunities come from our religion! :D

@IvanKesja one could state that every kind of education is a waste of time if the subject does not interest the person who receives the lessons. I am as an example intrigued by german cypher techniques during WWII but just try to find a teacher who's willing to give a lesson about said subject, I think that children should be allowed more freedom to study a subject they find interesting as long as it's usefull in their later lives. whether it be things like sport,maths, or even nucleair physics
